All the Kings men..!

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

AoA.

Sir,

The nation salutes you and your very competent team of civilian and military officials, for the flawless and superlative arrangements, in connection with the visit of the Chinese President to Pakistan.

Your government also deserves full kudos for the hitherto unimaginable positive outcome of the Chinese Presidents visit and your high level of wisdom in deciding to invite all the leaders of political parties and important political personalities, to meet the distinguished guest from China, which radiated an excellent image of a united Pakistani nation.

Moreover, the smooth handling of this mega event, proved the mettle of the Pakistan’s administrative machinery and its matchless organisational capabilities, announcing to the world that Pakistan’s is story of a success state, getting ready to confidently enter into a new phase of unparalleled growth and development.

In this new phase of rising Pakistan, no institution, organisation or individual has a right to damage the image and reputation of the country.

It will not be out of place to mention the famous quote of Maulana Jalal Uddin Rumi, Quote.”The death of a thousand capable and competent persons is a lesser loss than a nincompoop’s coming into authority.” Unquote.

In this connection, no person in the country is more aware than yourself about the mess created by the persons, you hand picked and posted in the PCB, to handle its helm of affairs.

However, the issue is not that the PCB top management failed 100% in delivering of even 50% of its expectations.

Now, it is proved beyond an iota of a doubt that the combined top level personnel of the PCB directors, members of the board of governors and the chairman PCB, are simply incapable to even understand the intricacies of the requirements of the modern day cricket management, which is more of a science than art.

Just one example will be sufficient to prove the above statement that leaving aside the everyday declining performances of our cricket team, where lowly ranked teams of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh have defeated us ignominiously, a dozen following players are out of action due to injuries:

1. Muhammad Irfan
2. Shoaib Maqsood.
3. Yaser Shah.
4. Ehsan Adil
5. Rahat Ali
6. Suhail Khan
7. Anwer Ali
8. Usman Shinwari
10. Shan Masood
11. Umer Gul (sent to BD despite objection from a selector)
12. Junaid Khan (didn’t play World Cup due to being unfit and still looks unfit as he is bowling at a very reduced speed ranging 120-135 KMPH).

No accountability of the World Cup debacle was done and no responsibility was fixed by the PCB big wigs, ostensibly to save their own skin.

Strangely and very alarmingly, the mum (over extremely grave matter) of the PCB on the open statement over a live TV program, by none other than the former chairman PCB that he possessed information about Pakistani teams match fixings, during the World Cup 2015, raises doubts that in the PCB, may be the whole pulse is black, and that it is not the case of a sinking ship, but the ship is already sitting at the bottom of the ocean.

Now, a stage has come that we are not only losing against a team like Bangladesh, but losing with huge margins. In the 1st ODI we lost by 79 runs and batted only 45.2 overs, and in the 2nd ODI, we lost by 7 wickets, with 71 balls remaining.

Leaving aside the World Cup disaster, since August 2014, we have consecutively lost 4 ODI series against Sri Lanka, Australia, New Zealand and Bangladesh.

All the Kings men occupying the key positions in the PCB, must be very capable and competent in their own fields of specialisation, but they have themselves proved during the last about two years (since you gave them various responsibilities in the PCB) that the following quote of Maulana Jalal Uddin Rumi was more than 100% correct.

Quote.”The death of a thousand capable and competent persons is a lesser loss than a nincompoop’s coming into authority.” Unquote.

Now Sir, the time is not due, but very much over due, for immediate launch of an operation Zarb-e-Azab, from your orders, by dissolving the PCB BOG and appointment of a highly competent professional/world renowned businessman, like Razzaq Dawood, Salim Ghauri (CEO NetSol Technologies) or Dr. Umar Saif (Chairman PITB and VC Information Technology University) for running the PCB, purely in a corporate manner and style, because now PCB can not be run by the retired cricketers or any other amateur person who is unfamiliar with the dynamics of the world level organisations.

Those who will advocate the annoyance and adverse reaction from the ICC on the imposition of an ad hoc, should be told that even today ICC is not cooperating with the PCB and has refused sending umpires for the series planned in May 2015, against Zimbabwe.

As such, we have to set our own house in order, because Pakistan is a sovereign country, governed by its own laws.

Best Regards,

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad
