Respected Pakistanis,

This is regarding the news about the suicide committed yesterday, by a poor unemployed person in Karachi, due to his financial hardships, in these days of daily rise in prices of eatables and other basic necessities of life.

The tragedy is that our people and the government of the day has all the resources to preempt any such avoidable suicides in Pakistan, but the set up is not within the reach of such poorest of the poor destitute, hapless and illiterate persons, whose responsibility, not only lies over the government, but the society, as well.

As such, there should be a system to proportionately hold, seriously accountable, respective area’s MNA, MPA, Mayor, UC Chairman/Deputy Chairman/Councillor/CM/CS/Commissioner/DC and the AC etc, in case of such suicides.

It is a known fact that teeming millions, neither have the knowledge, nor the capacity, to seek help from the facilities already available from Bait ul Maal and other such government and non government organisations and in the private sector.

As such, now a time has come to change the system, in line with the Riasat e Madina’s charter, for making such organisations and concerned persons down to the level of residents of that area, responsible to keep an eye, on the needs of such destitute persons, by down delegating authority and resources to the Mohallah and Masjid level.

Last but not the least, please don’t forget that Allah has ordained in the Holy Quran that by giving wealth, Allah tests such persons; and all of us will be answerable, for our responsibilities, on the judgement day.

Best Regards,
