The PCB battalion for the UAE series Vs Australia : Action speaks louder than the words

The honourable Chairman of the PCB and highly experienced and respected Pakistani diplomat, Mr. Shaheryar Khan is reported to have said (after the Sri Lanka surrender) that he was against too many persons travelling with the team on foreign tours.

Now, the question arises that how much pruning has been done in reducing the number of people who travelled with the team to Sri Lanka; and are now having a joy ride/paid holiday to the UAE, with the team for the series against Australia: where going by the trend of the team and deeds of the PCB, match results may be hardly different from the achievements, gained in Sri Lanka.

Please note that the following list of the team management, does not include the name of director international PCB, Mr. Zakir Khan, who was already based in the UAE, even before the arrival of the Pakistani team, in the UAE on 1 October, 2014.

Since, actions speaks louder than the words, if I were the type of chairman PCB, whose strings were pulled by one of his subordinates, I would never have have issued any statement condemning that too much staff having a joyride/ paid holiday (without any output) was not acceptable for me.

I wonder how much correct was Laurence J. Peter when he said “Everyone rises to their level of incompetence.”

When reality bites it bites very deeply..!

Understanding political dynamics and the ground reality…

During the height of the agitation, former President Ayub finally came to the conclusion that nation has rejected him, when he himself heard Ayub Kutta Hai Hai slogans, from his grandson in the presidency lawn.

However, in his departing speech while announcing his resignation, Ayub Khan said these historical words.
Quote.”I can not preside over the destruction of Pakistan”. Unquote.

I think before the situation suddenly goes out of hands, the time has finally come that Mian Nawaz Sharif should call it a day and repeat the same historic words of the ex. President Ayub Khan.

Tell a Good Story When Presenting a Business Case

Even with a thoroughly prepared business case, you’ll only earn support for your project with a memorable, winning delivery. Don’t be tempted to let facts and figures do the persuading for you – craft an emotional story. It can be as simple as outlining the need, impact, and solution; you just need to present what’s at stake through a clear arc. Grab your audience’s attention by immediately identifying the business need you are trying to address. Next, weave an emotional appeal or human connection into your narrative – maybe by showing the effects of a proposed customer management system with testimonials from real customers, or describing how the data-sharing project you want to expand helped employees stay connected during a major outage. Avoid relying on slides too much. And always have an elevator pitch ready.

Adapted from “ The Right Way to Present Your Business Case” by Carolyn O’Hara.

PPP must not dig its own grave..!

Each and every child knows that Senator Rehman Malik, was the main cause and issue when the Karachi – Islamabad flight delay, caused the passengers to protest; and they forced Senator Rehman Malik to virtually run away, from the plane.

Now, obviously the entire nation blames the PPP, which has become the target of public hate and anger, over the news that Mr. Arjumand was sacked by his employers, to punish him over his act of protest in the plane and placate the PPP leadership.

One wonders why and for what Bilawal apologised, if in the heart of Karachi, national hero Mr. Arjumand has been gravely wronged, for his most popular act of national and international appreciation.

It is suggested that Mr. Asif Ali Zardari must personally intervene in this matter, to avoid the last nail in coffin of the party of the famous martyrs, else, the party of the party, will be finally over.
