Improve Your Board’s Dynamics

The quality of board-level team interactions is highly correlated with your organization’s success and profitability. Improve your board’s performance with these steps:
Rethink your recruiting criteria. Recruiting “strangers” to boards — members who didn’t know each other before joining — tends to generate higher levels of governance quality. Boards should screen directors for “cultural intelligence” to ensure that the director has the skill and motivation to work well with the existing board.
Get team coaching. Transforming a weak board into a strong board is not investment-intensive, and the benefits are significant.

“We need women who are at the head of a boardroom, like at the head of the White House, at the head of major scientific enterprises so that little girls everywhere can then think, you know what? I can do that, I want to do that, I will do that.”

“Contentment, and indeed usefulness, comes as the infallible result of great acceptances, great humilities—of not trying to make ourselves this or that, but of surrendering ourselves to the fullness of life—of letting life flow through us. ”

If it was in my my hands I would have immediately called back Shahid Afridi from Dhaka.
He has become butt of a joke in the world cricketing circles, but it looks he will never retire honourably.
Afridi, is just waiting to be thrown out of the team, unceremoniously.

Shahid Afridi is proving again and again and again that he is a spent cartridge and a dud player.

Today’s match of Pakistan vs Afghanistan is a make or break affair for Pakistan to have any chances of playing the final.

If Pakistan has to have any chances of remaining in the contention of playing the final match of the Asia Cup on 8th March, 2014 they MUST win today’s match vs Afghanistan with a real BIG margin.

Ordinary victory may be a passport for the exit.

So, we have to keep praying and hoping for the best.
