High time for head coach and captain to quit for turning Pakistani lions into lambs..!

Today the main reason for a low/disappointing score of our team was that we played 175 dot balls (29.1 overs) out of 300 balls (50 overs).

In first 10 overs of our innings when only 2 fielders are allowed outside the 30 yards circle, we scored only 28 runs against Indian score of 53 runs.

Test match strategy, planning and mindset can never work in an ODI game, where name of the game is attack, innovation, positive approach in team selection, batting, bowling, fielding and staying one step ahead of the opponent’s game plan and strategy.

Why our lions have become lambs?

The best way for the new management of the PCB, to not to win the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 is to remain in inertia; and carry on with the present set up, without any change..
However, then a question will be asked that if everything of the past management was satisfactory, then why its chairman was removed?
Nevertheless, the pathetic performance ( being displayed during the ongoing Asia Cup matches) of the product of the previous management of the PCB (players and coaching staff) leaves much to be desired from the new management of the PCB.
Entire coaching staff of our team has miserably failed in delivering (despite very high salaries) along-with captain and the players, who seems to have totally lost their flair of the game and passion for victory: which was clearly visible with the Afghan players, many of whom were seen crying, after losing a nail biting match against our team.

Keeping in view that the ODI world cup is almost around the corner, Shoaib Malik should be immediately appointed captain of the Pakistani cricket team for all the three formats; and a power hitter wicket keeper batsman inducted in place of Sarfaraz Ahmad, who unfortunately, seems to have passed his shelf life; and because of his non-performance, the team has also lost its balance.

The difficulty, with which our team won the match against Afghan team, is not at all a good omen. Even otherwise also, Sarfaraz was originally appointed captain by Mr. Shahryar Khan, by default.

It is again reiterated that our head coach and  bowling, batting and fielding coaches must be immediately replaced, because they have turned our players from lions  to lambs.
Just look at the hugely declining performances of our fast bowlers including Muhammad Aamir and batsmen including Fakhar and Sarfaraz.
About the declining standards of our fielding, it’s low level during our yesterday’s match against the Afghan team, said it all.
As such, the new management of the PCB is advised that they must not wait for the corrective actions, till after the World Cup.
Pakistan has to win the 2019 ODI world cup in England, which at the moment, with the current lot of coaches and players, looks like a distant possibility.
After the recent change over in the PCB, it looks the new management is acting on a go slow and wait and watch policy.
PCB has to be proactive and must take immediate remedial steps.
Our team badly needs a leader who can inspire, motivate and lead players from his own performances.
Our team also needs immediate induction of power hitters (like Suhail Akhtar) and an accomplished all rounder.
We also need a new coaching staff which can also study the weak points of opponent players and guide our players to modify bowling and batting strategy according to the weak and strong points of the opponent players.
In view of the foregoing, the new set up of the PCB should come into action immediately, postponing the honeymoon period, till after the World Cup is won by our team.
Good luck for Mr. Ehsan Mani in re-vamping the PCB.

Fit case for war crimes trial of the leaders of the Indian government and its forces commanders/troops for genocide of Kashmiri population living in Indian Occupied Kashmir

Office of the Prosecutor
International Criminal Court
Post Office Box 19519
2500 CM
The Hague
The Netherlands
Dear Sir,
We invite your kind attention towards war crimes being continuously committed and perpetrated by the Indian Army’s leadership and troops under command and orders of the  top Indian civilian government leadership in the geographical area of Kashmir under occupation of the Indian forces.
This illegal and unlawful Indian occupation of Kashmir, for a period of over seven decades, is an internationally and UN recognised dispute, as per the security council resolutions, which called for allowing/giving  the right of self determination to the Kashmiri population, which is being continuously denied by the Indian government,  despite of the fact that the UN military observers are posted both in India and Pakistan. As such, the presence of UN military observers proves beyond any shadow of doubt that Kashmir is NOT and has never been an internal issue/matter of India and that it needs to be resolved as per the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions.
During the above mentioned period of over seven decades, the Kashmiri population has been waging (as allowed under the UN charter) relentless struggle for their right of self determination, paying heaviest price in the history of mankind, in the shape of  deaths, injuries, rapes, blindness by attack of pellet guns, abductions, jails and worst imaginable torture perpetuated by the Indian security forces.
In this regard, we take this opportunity to bring to your notice the latest case of war crime committed by the Indian occupying forces in the Indian Held Kashmir, as reported by  the daily “The Express Tribune” dated 15 September 2018 titled “

‘Barbaric conduct’: Viral picture shows Indian soldiers dragging body in IoK

Moreover, for the detailed study of the reports of the highly reputed  International Organisations, about the unparalleled Human Rights violations and unimaginable magnitude of genocide/manslaughter of Kashmiris, committed by the Indian forces, on the orders of their civilian leadership, is duly chronicled and can also be perused at the links given below:
In view of the foregoing, you as the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court are requested to immediately initiate necessary proceedings as per laws of the war crimes, against the responsible Indians on charges of worst possible human rights violations, in the history of the mankind; of the Kashmiris living under Indian occupation of their land.

Why allow conflict of interest in PCB?

Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Imran Khan is leading by example in creating a culture of simplicity and austerity.

The new management of PCB  also needs to review the whole culture of extravagance, which has now become a trade mark of the organisation, where the per head cost of one PCB’s dinner in Lahore was over Rs.40,000.

If the government ministers and top most senior officers will now be traveling by air in economy class and Corolla and Cultus cars for road travel in NAYA Pakistan, the PCB also should set an example of simplicity and austerity.

Earlier, it was reported that the famous and indispensable COO and CFO of the PCB  got Toyota Fortuner vehicles approved for themselves, against  entitlement of 1800 CC car.

Similarly, the salary, pay and other perks structure of PCB’s  regular and contracted employees needs to be rationalised, so that some extra money is available for the men and women cricketers and for the improvements on the pathetic and humiliating conditions of dressing rooms, toilets and overall infrastructures directly related with the game.

In the not very distant past, chief selector and his team worked on honorary basis with the PCB, which job (chief selector of men’s team) is reportedly now costing PCB  near-about  Rs.2 Crore per annum (including pay, perks, traveling, awards and rewards) which in other words, is much higher remuneration than the PM, President, CJ or the COAS of Pakistan is getting.

Another question which must be immediately addressed is that why more than 14 players are sent with the team, which will be playing matches only few hours of plane flight away, from Pakistan. And why such a huge number of non playing contingent of PCB officials always go abroad, for joy rides and paid holidays?

It seems that in PCB, sending  of maximum possible personnel on foreign joy rides, is the name of the game, for which now the time has come to put a full stop.

Coming back to our selectors, it seems their policy is to have no policy.

May be they think that their job of selection is just to pick and choose players having best numbers of averages. If that was the job of selectors, then what PCB needs is just a computer to compile a list of players, in order of their performances; and not this team of highly paid selectors.

Selectors are also not there to pick their relatives or favourite players or players having influence in the PCB, because their fathers are sitting on the BoG or are advisors of the chairman PCB.

Conflict of interest is the biggest reason of financial and intellectual corruption; and hats off to the BCCI for coming with a heavy hand on even most influential cricketing and non cricketing personalities of India, by appointing an ombudsman, to clean up the corruption mess in the BCCI.

Here in Pakistan, PCB’s contractual and regular employees were freely allowed to be associated with the PSL franchises, in one way or the other.
So much so that a very senior and high level PCB staff member was sitting in front, during the T-10 league players auction, as if, he was the owner of one of the teams.

Concluding, given below is the Philosophy and Criteria for Selection of Pakistani Team..!

Players selected for our national team are beyond the ordinary, or should be beyond the ordinary.

If there is no change in the attitude of the players, however; if there is no change in the selection process; if there is no change in the personality and quality of coaches to get the players to listen to them and to try and follow their instructions; and if there is no change in the quality of players coming out of the domestic competitions, the result will be the same – probably even worse.

In the modern day game of cricket the captain, coach and the chief selector are the three main pillars, absolutely responsible for the performance of the team.

Now, we are also witnessing the evolution of the fourth pillar i.e., the mentor of the team, generally called as the Team Director.

These four pillars must not select the team before they have chalked out the strategy of the matches to be played with their players.

All planning must have a clear objective and should be obviously based on the playing conditions, to be faced by the team.

After the finalisation of the strategy; the selection process should be based on the following principles:

– Select horses for courses.

– Be ruthless in team selection with emotions, relations and recommendations getting no place in the realm of the national prestige.

– Remove any iota of likes/dislikes and strictly adhere to the merit policy, not entertaining any undeserving recommendations, from any level.

– No physically unfit player should be selected at any cost.

– No player should be selected if he is not fitting in the mould of the earlier formulated strategy.

– All selected players must be clearly told their assigned roles.

Last but not the least, a word about our head coach, who somehow could not play a single Test match in his career. In his stint as our team’s head coach, it was observed  in the past that selection of final eleven was faulty and he also admitted this fact (that he erred in selection of players) after our team’s Test series loss vs Sri Lanka in UAE, where we had never lost a Test series before that historic 2-0 series defeat; and in one innings of the Test match, our team got out on 114 runs, which was not even a decent score of a T20 innings.

In this regard, our old system of tour management committee, which consisted of manager, captain and coach, who were authorised (with manager as chairman of the tour selection committee) to select the playing eleven, should be restored, because now only coach (who has not played any Test cricket) and captain Sarfaraz (not a very experienced Test player) select the final playing eleven; and occasionally lose the match, before it was played.

In this regard, the person selected as the manager of the touring team must not be a person favoured for a joyride.

Rather, he should be a seasoned Test player and strict disciplinarian of very high integrity and possessing suitable corporate experience, as well.

American war – Pakistani sacrifices for free?

Just a misleading propaganda, where all the concerned knows that CSF payments are NOT aid, but reimbursements for use of GLOC facilities through Pakistani area, by the US and the NATO Forces.

Moreover, for Pakistan such unfriendly acts by the US governments are not a surprise. Few decades ago they not only confiscated F-16 planes duly paid in advance by Pakistan, but also demanded and got payments for storage of those confiscated F-16 planes.

Then Pakistani nation and it’s armed forces will never forget killings and maiming of our dozens of dozens officers and men by US bombardment of Pakistani post named SALALA, where these troops were specifically posted for eliminating the terrorists which were moving across the Pak-Afghan border. Those US military authorities totally forgot, before allowing the killings of Pakistani troops that how this very Pakistani Army shed their blood and sweat to protect the lives and honour of the US troops, who were under deadly attack and were being lynched in the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia.

The moral of the story is that if any nation wants to live in peace, it must not be a friend of the United States, because US has a history of not honouring promises with and remembering any sacrifices of a its friendly nations.

Moreover, we Pakistanis should also remember what the US is doing with Iran after signing of the framework for a Comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear program in 2015 by France, Germany, the European Union, Iran, United Kingdom, United States, China and Russia and above all, by even after certifications of IAEA inspectors reporting compliance of the agreement by Iran.

You give these Americans an inch and they will take a foot. As such, the Americans must be told to PAY MORE for all the due compensations (remember CSF payments were NOT compensations) of our sacrifices of men and material in the almost two decades old WOT (which is more longer time span than the length of the combined time of the WWI & WWII), including the free use of the airspace, which was many times more than the combined sacrifices of the 49 members of the NATO countries.

Last but not the least, the Pakistani leaders must keep in mind that America has completely lost the Afghan war, as per the definition of victory and defeat stated by Henry Kissinger that the conventional army (US Forces) loses if it does not win. The guerrilla (Taliban) wins if he does not lose.

Hence, we must play our cards smartly and boldly, to again do favour to our defeated friends, for an honourable exit from Afghanistan, which is not possible, without our help.

PM Imran Khan for Nobel Peace Prize..!

True to his reputation, Mr. Imran Khan led from the front, on behalf of the sleeping Muslim Ummah to ensure that blasphemous caricatures issue is nipped in the bud.

The greatness of a general not lies in waging and winning the war, but in achieving the objectives, without waging a war.

It is one of the traits of a world level statesman to diffuse any potential crisis, before it blows up into a problem of life and death, for the humanity.

In this regard, the whole world must be thankful and the UN Security Council should pass a resolution of thanks to the proactive leadership of Mr. Imran Khan, in saving it from plunging into a serious challenge of an highly inflammable conflict between followers of different major religions of the world.

Full marks to statesmanship of Mr. Imran Khan, for personally taking the charge to effectively serve the cause of Muslim Ummah.

Mr. Imran Khan rightly deserves the title of Khadim ul Muslameen or Khadim e Islam and also deserves Nobel Peace Prize for a great service towards the cause of interfaith peace and harmony.

A country where everyone pays tax..!

Mr. PM every Pakistani is paying tax

Dear Mr. Imran Khan,

AoA.

Sir,

It really hurts when our rulers, ministry of finance bureaucracy and few media persons say our people don’t pay taxes.

Even, in your speech on 20 August 2018 you said that only eight lac people pay taxes, which figure is obviously not correct, because even the number of tax filers are above one million. Yet, again in your senate speech of 27 August 2018 the media reports about you saying that we are also among countries that pay the least amount of tax.

However, the fact is that each and every item except AIR is taxed in Pakistan, which means that entire population of about 22 Crore pays tax in our country. Yes, certain VIP’s receive tax free salaries and also the Independent Power Producers (IPP’s) are allowed tax free income in Pakistan.

Just one example will explain my view point that there are over 12 Crore cell phone users in Pakistan; and each one of them pay tax while using the cell phone. The irony is that this WHT paid by the cell phone users in hundreds of billions of Rupees becomes the income of the TELCOS; as they seldom deposit this huge tax collection with the government.

Even today it was reported by the media that one Airline company has not paid to the government Rs.130 Crore tax it collected from the traveling public and CAA has suggested to put the name of its owners on the ECL.

Sir, since the With Holding Tax was imposed in Pakistan, it caused two way negative impact on the economy. Firstly, it enhanced the prices of almost every item in Pakistan and secondly, it opened huge vistas of corruption for the traders/businessmen/industrialists and bureaucracy in the country.

Now, it is said that our tax to GDP ratio is around 10-12 percent, which is the lowest in the region and the world, as well.

But the fact is that our black economy is bigger than our white economy, in which our people are paying WHT and bribes etc., which amount is almost double than the current tax collection of about Rs.4000 Crore or $40 billion. If someone wants proof of my this estimate, I will refer to the news item published on 17 April 2018 reporting that the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP), Javaid Jahangir, has claimed that during the audit year 2017-18 auditors pointed out irregularities amounting to Rs8.276 trillion or about $80 billion in the accounts of the federal government. Link:- https://www.google.com.pk/amp/s/www.dawn.com/news/amp/1402111

If irregularities are almost double than the amount of our budget; the level of corruption or black economy can be easily estimated by even a lay man.

Now, the mother of all the financial corruption and taxation problems in Pakistan is the regime of taxation in which over 85% taxation is INDIRECT and less than 15% taxation is DIRECT, plus the scheme of WHT which can be called as one of the biggest source of corruption in the country. Here please note that corruption can not be made unless and until money is taken out of the pocket (in the name of taxes) of the public.

As such, kindly, instead of blaming the public for not paying the taxes, which in fact, even the dweller of Jhuggi is paying, the issues highlighted above of high indirect taxation, tax relief to the VIP’s and certain industries/businesses etc., and the MASSIVE misuse of WHT should be resolved in an intelligent and smart manner. May be the WHT should be withdrawn, altogether considering that world was a better place to live, before the advent of the WHT.

An open letter to the Indian PM Narendra Modi – From NAYA Pakistan with love

E49AB67D-D1EF-4126-B0EA-28656205D719

Dear Mr. Narendra Modi Sahab,

Greetings.

We in Pakistan, really appreciate the highly positive gesture of your telephonic call to our Prime Minister to congratulate him on his elections victory and the even bigger gesture of writing a very friendly letter, expressing very positive and warm sentiments in a true statesman like manner.

In this regard, I would like to suggest to the current leadership of both the countries, to take advantage of the conducive atmosphere prevailing in the region; and let India and Pakistan try a NEW APPROACH towards the peace: by first deciding upon a list of such core thorny issues, which are complicated and can only be resolved after full confidence, between the two nations is restored; and freeze all such issues or problems, for a short period of just one decade.

In the meantime, India and Pakistan should restore full friendly relations, by genuinely restoring confidence, by further pulling back troops from the LOC and start immediate cooperation in all the fields of economic activities, visa free, to and fro, travel (for all the cities) of citizens of both the countries, special facilities for the businessmen of the two nations for opening of trade offices, banks, business shops and show rooms, in each others country, removal of all restrictions on cultural and sports teams visits and full permission of the TV channels, to be viewed in each other’s country.

It will be just of a sort of a no war pact (which should also include 90% withdrawal of troops from the entire valley of Jammu and Kashmir and 100% withdrawal of troops from the Siachin area, for a limited period of ten years).

Moreover, it should also be decided that in order to avoid any misunderstandings, on account of any illegal crossings from the LOC, joint LOC patrolling of Indo-Pak troops along with the UN observers, should also be considered as a part of the overall peace agreement, which is surely expected to work wonders, like a magic, in the economic emancipation of the teeming millions of both the countries.

Sir, hope you know very well that ordinary people of both the countries are fed up with the acrimony between the two closest neighbours; and earnestly desire hundreds of years of peace, for which the only impediment, is the lack of statesmen and visionary people in the policy making arena of both the countries.

Now, your and our leadership has got a golden chance of a life time, to jointly work for the peace of about 1.5 billion humanity.

Please extend your hands to meet the gestures of genuine peace, already offered by Prime Minister Mr. Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi Sahab, in his speech of 26 July 2018 by magnanimously offering to move two steps for peace towards India, if India takes one step towards Pakistan, to make the peace aspirations of the hundreds of millions of residents of the sub continent, come true.

Remember, may be this golden chance for the peace between the two nations, if missed now, may not come again, in decades.

Also please inform all those military and political planners in your country, not in favour of genuine peace with Pakistan that low intensity war named as offensive defensive operations, or other covert hostile methods, are no more a long or short term options for, as well as, against; a nuclear power, which reportedly possesses more military nuclear arsenal than India.

All such paradigms are out dated being a ZERO sum game, in the ultimate nuclear scenario.

Such policy planners have no business to stay in the past non-nuclear status frame of mind; and they must develop a NEW and FRESH vision, ruling out mutually assured destruction (MAD), to guide a major nuclear nation, like India.

Policy makers of nuclear powers must not have a mindset of a non nuclear state.

And the foremost responsibility of these policy makers must be to ensure, at all costs, that under ALL circumstances, nuclear flare up or provocations under offensive defensive doctrine, MUST be ruled out: irrespective of the defined policy of no first use of nuclear weapons or retaliatory use of WMD’s.

Sir, if Malala Yousafzai of Pakistan and Kailash Satyarthi of India, can be jointly awarded Nobel Peace Prize for their noble campaign for peace through education and child rights, just imagine, how kindly the world will remember the immortal bold acts of Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. Imran Ahmad Khan Khan Niazi, in ameliorating the hardships due to hunger, disease and illiteracy of more than 1.5 billion humanity of the entire region.

Please remember that war results only in devastation, deaths and destruction; whereas, dividends of peace are positivity, prosperity, hopes and happiness.

Last but not the least, it must be a very clear objective of the leadership of both the countries, to ensure that India and Pakistan must not live like divided Korea, rather, we should live, like the united Europe.

With best wishes and kind regards,

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Lahore

A plan to re-vamp PCB into a world class organisat

Dear Mr. Imran Khan
Prime Minister of Pakistan
Patron of the PCB
AoA.
Sir,

Today’s sensational media reports of illegal and unconstitutional act of the chairman PCB, to tap the telephones of its employees, demands an immediate highest level inquiry; and if found correct then there was an urgent need of a shake up of the PCB’s administration and registration of criminal cases against the blatant violators of the relevant constitutional and legal provisions, guaranteeing fundamental rights of the citizens (read employees of the PCB) of Pakistan.

As far the Pakistani cricketers are concerned they always bear the burden of representing the image and the hopes of millions of their fans.

Their on and off field behaviours, have a social and political significance, that goes well beyond the field and enters into the homes of all the citizens, as well as, into the most powerful institutions.

The victory in a world cup ODI or a T20 contest, can move nearly all sections of the Pakistani nation, in an incomparable manner.

Thus, for the ordinary Pakistani cricket fan, PCB is not just an organisation; rather, it is a mini Pakistan (and its chairman a mini Prime Minister) and looked upon like the institution of the Pakistani armed forces, where they can’t imagine, any compromise shall be made, on the image and reputation of the country; and where, rather than allowing the lowering of the national flag and pride, our sons sacrifice their lives.

Hence, the PCB and not the players…. needs a turn around..!

We should not be so naive to expect production of a Mercedes car from the manufacturing plant of a motorcycle.

Moreover, as Albert Einstein defined insanity as “doing the same thing over and over again, without any change, and expecting a different result.”

As such, we must not expect miracles by sending players to army institutions, for some rigorous training. If that was the case, why armed forces sports teams world over and in Pakistan, are NOT the number one teams, in all the sports they participate?

Nowadays, like the management, sports is a science and the role of the amateur handlers is over.

Only QUALIFIED professionals can train sportsmen, for producing world beaters.

Until and unless, PCB itself is turned upside down, our cricketing standards, particularly our domestic cricket will keep on sliding into the abyss.

The culture of taking work from the qualified professionals can NOT be handed over to the existing SENIOR staff of the PCB, who can’t even develop a multi-media presentation.

Everyone knows how many managers and above, in the PCB, can truly handle the computers, beyond  emails the reading?

It is suggested that PCB must be totally revamped (with a vision statement of BETTER THAN THE BEST) from the top to the bottom, to make it function, like a top class world level organisation, with zero tolerance for old amateurish and bureaucratic style of working, which breeds intellectual, moral and financial corruption, nepotism and favouritism, in each and every sphere of its operations.

Right now, PCB has become the last and final resting place of the great nincompoops of Pakistan.

However, the greatest harm the PCB is doing to the nation is that it is being run on a system, which is doing double damage; in the shape of production of mediocre run of the mill players; and at the same time, talented players are facing hurdles, in coming into the lime light.

If the PCB wants to survive in the fast changing world of competition, it must change its old habits and rebuild itself, inside out.

PCB must know that a professional organisation is “of and for professional people”.

For the inside out rebuilding, the PCB must come out in a crystal clear manner that “how it want to be thought of” and then consider every thing that the PCB “say and do.”

Every PCB department must also be converted into a “cost center” responsible for its revenues and expenses.

Side by side, the PCB must also shun its CULTURE of politics and self serving policies.

This is absolutely necessary, because culture of an organisation is the environment, under which, all it’s employes perform their duties.

What is needed by the PCB is to create a culture of team work, which stimulates and permeates in the entire organisation. And where the employees are recognised and duly rewarded for working with absolute honesty and professionalism.

While currently chaos, politics and leg pulling is rampant in the rank and file employees of the PCB, how it can be expected to produce players, who will not be equally, if not more, afflicted by these malaise?

As they say in the IT jargon, garbage in garbage out, or output can not be more than the input.

However, the top notches of the government and the PCB, must know very clearly that the PCB can not be turned out into a first class world level organisation, by just transfers, postings, change of designations, hiring or firing of employees.

In fact, such steps breeds even more discontent and ill will, among the employees and the general masses.

To achieve the desired results, PCB needs a total and complete overhaul, disregarding any political or other pressures for serving any vested interest(s), examples of which (running the organisation on an absolutely 100% merit basis) can be seen in many Pakistani organisations like LUMS, SKMCH & RC, IBA, NUST and the GIK etc.

Till such time, the PCB itself is turned into a center of excellence, it can’t produce a bunch of players, who can be the world beaters, on a consistent level.

In any team game, a team do not need champions like Don Bradman or David Beckham to be the world beaters. But, greats like Don Bradman and David Beckham in any team, can not excel, without the cooperation of other team members.

For our players to consistently excel at the international arena, PCB coaches need to repeatedly hammer into the minds of the players, the following famous quote of Aristotle.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”

Now, world over competitive sports is not considered just a past time hobby or entertainment and fitness activity.

Rather, sports activities are considered and handled as a specialised faculty of sports science.

As such, the PCB must shun business as usual, decades old approach.

There is an imminent need to totally wind up the entire current set up of the PCB, which has been turned into a center of excellence for politics, corruption, nepotism and cronyism; which was very aptly expressed by the legendary cricketer Mr. Waqar Younis, when he stated that there was more politics in PCB than the parliament.

The person to be appointed as the new head of the PCB should be a VISIONARY person, who is ready to accept the challenge of turning (in one year) the PCB into a world class organisation.

This goal can be easily achieved by splitting the Pakistan Cricket Board in two units,  as following:

~Cricketing Affairs (headed by a DG who must be a legendary Cricketer with spotless integrity and possessing corporate management acumen)

~Administrative Affairs (headed by a DG who should be a business & management professional)

The new head of the PCB must only be appointed, when you are personally satisfied about his capabilities, after his one on one, interview with you.

Moreover, the PCB think tank must “PLAN FOR SUCCESS” with clear and measurable objectives.

The PCB must also not forget that the world’s best and most expensive coaches are NOT the recipe for the success. If this notion was true, rich countries like the USA and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, would have been the world champions, in many sports like football etc.

The recipe for success mostly lies in the smooth working of a well defined system, lead for which must come from none other than the PCB chairman.

Gone are the old decadent ways of assembling players for a camp, just before the tour to show their fitness and playing abilities.

It must be the specified duty of the think tank and the selectors to devise a plan to monitor 24/7 the health, eating habits, general behaviour and performance of the CONTRACTED players, in a scientific manner. These contracted players must not be allowed to have a free reign, even during the off days, as they are almost like paid employees of the PCB.

Moreover, the FINE TUNING and grooming of the marked pool of all the talented and upcoming players (non-contracted) should be the SPECIFIC responsibility of the NCA staff, who must constantly produce, highest calibre five players, for each position of the game, both for the men and the ladies teams.

As such, rather than hiring a foreign coach for the national team, we need to hire an experienced and QUALIFIED foreign expert, who has the experience of running the sports academy on professional lines, may be from Australia. This expert should be assigned the task to turn all the NCA’s into centres of excellence, second to none in the world.

It will not be out of place to conclude, by mentioning the quotes of the three famous sports coaches, for the motivation of our players, who are under tremendous pressure to perform on a consistent level.

“Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later the man who wins, is the man who thinks he can.”
– Vince Lombardi

“When you’re playing against a stacked deck, compete even harder. Show the world how much you’ll fight for the winners circle. If you do, someday the cellophane will crackle off a fresh pack, one that belongs to you, and the cards will be stacked in your favor.”
– Pat Riley

I’ve never played for a draw in my life.

Alex Ferguson

In England, it’s a rare thing to see a player smoking but, all in all, I prefer that to an alcoholic. The relationship with alcohol is a real problem in English football and, in the short term, it’s much more harmful to a sportsman. It weakens the body, which becomes more susceptible to injury.

Alex Ferguson

I’m going to tell you the story about the geese which fly 5,000 miles from Canada to France. They fly in V-formation but the second ones don’t fly. They’re the subs for the first ones. And then the second ones take over – so it’s teamwork.

Alex Ferguson

The work of a team should always embrace a great player but the great player must always work.

Alex Ferguson

Wishing you Godspeed in your endeavours to make Pakistan, the best of the best in the world.

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Best and easiest way to build foreign exchange reserves..!

Fastest way to immediately fill the coffers of Pakistan with Foreign Exchange Reserves:

Immediate launching of a scheme for payment of 3% PA profit (payable bi-annually) on Foreign Currency bank deposits in Pakistan (backed by the sovereign guarantee of the GoP) with a suitable, but attractive fixed period, say five years.

This is a fool proof scheme, sans any risk, which can boost up our foreign reserves, in a very short time, on extremely cheap rates, as compared to the foreign loans with STRICT conditions where even it is reported that PMLN government obtained loans from China at 6% interest and in some cases 8% insurance charges= 14%) and international bonds, which were sold by the previous government of PMLN, at even 8.25% interest rates (Pakistan will be repaying USD 910 million for USD 500 million Euro Bonds) for which the then PM Mian Nawaz Sharif was requested to hold an inquiry, to fix the responsibility of the culprit(s), who allowed the sale of Euro Bonds, on such a criminally high interest rates.
