ICC ODI Cricket World Cup and Pakistan..!
World Cup 2015 – Few proposals for Pak cricket team..!
Pakistan cricket team always had the potential and talent to win, any and all of the past cricket ODI & T20 world cup tournaments.
As such, there should be no doubt, about its chances of winning the next cricket ODI World Cup, scheduled to commence from 14 February 2015, to be played in Australia and New Zealand, where our (Pool B) 1st match, will be against the Indian team, on 15 February, 2015 at Adelaide.
The details of Pool A and B teams are given below:
Pool A.
England.
Australia.
SriLanka.
Bangladesh.
NewZealand.
Afghanistan.
Scotland.
Pool B.
South Africa.
India.
Pakistan.
West Indies.
Zimbabwe.
Ireland.
United Arab Emirates.
Since 4 teams from each pool (total 8 teams from both the pools) will move forward, to play quarter final matches, we can safely assume (barring any upset) that the following teams MAY qualify for the quarter finals.
Pool A.
England.
Australia.
Sri Lanka.
NewZealand.
Pool B.
South Africa
India.
Pakistan.
West Indies.
Obviously, for all the teams playing quarter finals, semi finals and the final match, will be a do or die affair. Hence, for all purpose and intent, they will be considering all these matches, as a knock out or a final match.
Now, for Pakistan to prepare for this ODI World Cup tournament, it has less than 5 months. Luckily, we also have the opportunity to play 8 ODI matches during coming Oct-Dec 2014, against Australia (3) and NewZealand (5).
PCB must ensure that firstly, it must also pick few newcomers with fresh legs, for the World Cup team, who performs outstandingly in the ongoing T20 national tournament being played in Karachi. This is high time that daring, fearless and hard hitting batsman like Awaiz Zia, is given an opportunity to play in all the 8 ODI matches vs Australia and NewZealand in UAE, to bolster his confidence for the World Cup tournament.
This is all the more necessary, because our low scores in the 1st power play part of the game, during the starting 10 overs, has been the achilles heel (a portion, spot, area, or the like, that is especially or solely vulnerable).
With World Cup almost at hand, we created a sort of a world record in just concluded ODI series vs Sri Lanka, by scoring only 19 runs in the first 10 overs of an ODI, when only 2 repeat 2 fielders, are stationed outside the 30 yards circle.
We also possess the world record for playing the maximum number of DOT balls in the ODI’s and the T20 matches.
Our basic weaknesses in the ODI’s, as well as, in the T20 matches, have been the failure in scoring during the power play period (as if we have burdened the mind with the fear of losing the wickets during the power play, which in any case on many occasions, we do lose, even with NOT scoring freely in the power play) and secondly, committing the CARDINAL mistake of not taking singles regularly, or playing huge number of DOT balls.
Both the above problems are obviously due to a negative mind set, which if our coaches particularly Mr. Waqar Younis, fails to address, we will continue to perform as we did in recent series in Sri Lanka.
Our team management, must realise that it is not an issue of the abilities of our players. Rather, it is related to the negative mind set, imbibed or embedded in the brains of our players; and the only way to come out of this rut is to do specific practise (particularly during the coming 8 ODI and 3 T20 matches vs Australia and NewZealand) of these two short comings, explained above.
In the coming 8 ODI and 3 T20 games, our tour management committee must give a minimum target of 80 runs, during the 1st 10 overs of the ODI’s; and 60 runs during the 1st 6 overs of the T20 games. Because, if at all we have to be the #1 team of the world, we will have to be better than the best.
However, our all batsmen must be told that they are required to play FAST but NOT at all required to play RASH.
They should also be told that the basic difference between cricket and the baseball game is that in baseball, you are supposed to hit every ball; and in cricket every ball has to be played on its merit. However, that doesn’t mean that batsmen should fail to score singles and doubles, if boundaries are not coming.
Moreover, to overcome the chronic problem of our batsmen, in effectively scoring runs of the short balls, coming fast over their shoulders, particularly on the bouncy wickets of Australia and NewZealand, they should be given rigorous practice, with special bouncing rubber balls, bowled over the cemented pitch.
Regarding fielding, the players should be taught that all 11 fielders must focus 100% during the game, just like a wicket keeper; and the best way to NOT to drop a catch and stop a hit is to EXPECT that EACH and EVERY ball will be coming to the me. This mind set will VASTLY improve the catching and fielding.
Further, while throwing the ball for a direct run out, first the fielder must LOCK his eyes on the wickets and then throw the ball towards the stumps with one bump to the ground rather than direct aerial throw to the wickets. Research has proved that one bump throw to the wickets, increases the chances of the hitting the stumps, compared with the aerial throw.
In the bowling field, the old adage of bowling wicket to wicket, still pays the maximum dividends. However, in the modern day cricket, disguised slower balls, the balls bowled away from the off stump (just short of wide ball) and surprise bouncers have proved extremely useful and productive, during the crunch times and in case of FREE hits.
In this regard, PCB must prepare a plan named ”Vision 2015″. This plan should be a fool proof strategy with specific focus on winning the 2015 ODI World Cup tournament, considering all risk factors, like sudden unavailability of any player due to various reasons (as happened with Saeed Ajmal), at least five umpiring decisions going against us (two in batting & three in bowling innings), dropped catches/missed run outs and failure of main bowlers and batsmen etc.
We should remember that plans never fail, we fail to plan. Moreover, the PCB “Vision 2015″ must state that “You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win.”
Best of luck to the Pakistan cricket team….you can do it…you can win the World Cup…just believe in the fact that InshaAllah, you will be the world champions..!
Proposals to immediately banish VIP culture in Pakistan
Campaign to banish VIP culture in Pakistan:
1. Close down all VIP lounges at the airports in Pakistan.
2. Remove black car windows from ALL vehicles through out the country without any discrimination.
3. The practise of blocking roads for the VIP traffic, should be dispensed with immediately.
4. PM and all other members of the top ruling elite must bear ALL & ENTIRE travel (inland & overseas including Hajj & Umra) expenses of their children/relatives/friends/servants/guards/drivers.
5. Due to severe economic hardships being faced by the nation wherein we are taking fresh loans from the IMF to pay previous loans, all expenses of the President, PM, Governor & CM houses must immediately be reduced to 50%.
JJ – Awakening of Conscious
My 3 Twitter messages to Junaid Jamshed, urging him to openly side with Mazlooms and don’t give an impression that he was chummy with Muzlooms, as well as Zalims.
JJ’s talk on SAMAA TV clearly gave the impression that Imran Khan is good and Nawaz Sharif, the looter and plunderer of the nation, is also OK.
Double talk is NOT the trait of a MOMIN.
JJ said that he advised Imran Khan in 93-94, to form a political party to change this decadent system, and now when this party is fighting for our better tomorrow, you are NOT even openly siding with it.
In Islam, hypocrisy is a big sin..!

Who is lying… The tribunal Judge or Rana Sanaullah?
Why Kashif Abbasi failed to remind the following verdict of the judge when Rana Sanaullah today said in his (8-9PM ARY News) program that road barriers at Minhaj Secretariat were illegal?
Quote:
“Justice Najfi also noted that the PAT workers had not fired a single bullet on the police and just pelted stones when attempts were being made to remove the barriers outside Minhaj Secretariat, which were completely legal thus the Punjab government’s action was “illegal”.”
Unquote.
Need of the hour for Pakistan…A new social contract..!
Panacea for the ills of Pakistan..!
After 67 years, Pakistan is a more fragmented society than our forefathers could have ever imagined. The schism (division or disunion), is so intense that if immediate corrective steps are not taken, God forbid, this country may see even more turbulent times.
The writing on the wall is clear for all to read. The decadence of Pakistani society in every sphere of life, be it political, economic, educational, industrial, agricultural, religious, law and order or any other segment worth naming, is abysmal, to say the least.
Hardly, any day passes without reports of suicides committed by the poor due to the economic hardships. Children did not not die in dozens, but in scores, due to the measles outbreak and; strangely enough, no soul moved and not even a single person was held accountable.
Recently, hundreds of hundreds kids, women and men died in Thar area, just due to diseases and malnutrition, but our ministers and public representatives made sure to enjoy their feasts, right in the middle of the starving population of Thar. These beasts are more callous than the Changez Khan.
Maybe, we have one last chance to stem the rot, to unite the people and to give them a prescription, to rise again and re-build the nation from the ashes; because, for the overwhelming majority, a time is coming that the masses may will be forced to think: no life no nation.
The current frame work, under which the country is being run will not take Pakistan any forward, even if it is allowed to continue as such, for another 100 years. All small and big nations in our region and the world have overtaken us, in the basic fields of health, education, justice, law and order and food security.
It is high time that all stakeholders must wake up, as the nation is moving towards destruction and business as usual, can do no good for Pakistan; our survival is directly linked with the existence of our nationhood. Nationhood means, “the state or quality of having a status as a separate and independent nation”.
Pakistan needs a turnaround for which the basic need is our adaptation and readiness for the change, not in cosmetic but real sense. We need a complete change from one era to another, like the one, witnessed by China, under Mao Zedong.
Hence, for all Pakistanis, failure is not an option but success is also not automatically guaranteed. In this regard, I would like to suggest that we formulate a new social contract, for the common people of Pakistan, who always pays 100 percent bills and taxes and never defaults on their bank loans. Let us make a new Pakistan, which is redesigned to practically cater to the needs of the exploited masses.
Moreover, the current election system is so flawed that any Tom Dick and Harry can easily manipulate it to defeat the basic purpose of the democracy. So, if the basic electoral process is retarded, how can it give birth to genuine representatives?
Changes must be made in the constitution, to make it a presidential form of democratic set up. The election system should also be changed, so that the whole country directly votes for the president. However, before voting, the candidates of all political parties for presidential post, must notify a list of their MPAs, MNAs and Senators, who will be automatically considered elected, according to the percentage of votes cast, in favour of all the candidates, for the top post of the country.
The decision for Pakistan’s charter of development for building dams and mega projects for the next 50 years should also be finalised, on which, later on, no politics should be allowed. In other words, the representatives of the nation should decide now, where they would like to see Pakistan, in each and every field of life after 50 years. This plan should be further divided into ten five years plans.
In order to decentralise and empower the maximum number of people, to enjoy the fruits of self-rule, we should convert every division of Pakistan into a province. This will also work as a panacea (an answer or solution for all problems or difficulties), for the eradication of linguistic and any other type of frictions and doubts about the hegemony of one class of the people over the other.
In fact, it will work wonders in the speedy development and unity of Pakistan; and kill instantly, any secessionist or separatist activities, currently prevailing in some parts of the country.
Poor feeding the rich in Pakistan..!
We Pakistanis (of which 60 % are living below absolute poverty level) are PROUD to feed our POOR parliamentarians on the following subsidised rates.
Tea Rs.1.00
Soup Rs.5.50
Dal Rs.1.50
Meals Rs.2.00
Chappathi Rs.1.00
Chicken Rs.24.50
Dosa Rs.4.00
Veg Briyani Rs.8.00
Fish Rs.13.00
Now how come these people (1+11 parties) have the guts to criticise Dr. Tahir ul Qadri Sb., when he says that he will provide all utilities including electricity, at 50% of the current rates, when they are eating meals in the parliament at 200 – 1000 % subsidy and poor Pakistani’s tax money is being used to purchase dogs and BMW’s for the security and luxuries of the VVIP’s?
A win win constitutional solution to the Pakistani political logjam..!
An out of box proposal to break the political logjam in Pakistan..!
All the Pakistani stake holders in its political system, more so the PTI, must realise that the current political logjam resolution, through the judicial commission enquiry, may create more problems than providing the black and white answers to the question of whether the election 2013, were massively rigged or not.
As such, foresight demands and also it is in the larger interest of the nation, to not to follow a course which most certainly will pop up more serious problems, instead of resolving the issue of massive riggings in the E-2013.
Since, Pakistan has already fallen behind in every sector of economic development, even compared with such countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and SriLanka etc., it can ill afford plunging from one crisis to another, for months and years. It is high time that every stake holder realised that enough was enough and for the sake of Pakistan, we have to move forward, sacrificing our egotism.
As they say no player is bigger than the sports, it should be clearly realised that no politician is also bigger than the country and its national interest.
Hence, in view of the foregoing, the following win win solution is being placed before all the stake holders and the key institutions to immediately take Pakistan out of the present political crisis.
PROPOSAL:
Pakistan can have a referendum under the supervision of its armed forces and rangers, to get reply of just one question i.e., whether E-2013 were rigged or not. And, if the answer is in affirmative then the Prime Minister Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, should dissolve all the assemblies, set up a new care taker govt and hold fresh elections, under a new EC. Moreover, before the dissolution of the assemblies, the parliament must also pass a bill, for the election reforms, as per the consensus of all the stake holders.
In the meantime, the PTI should also join back the assemblies and end its Dharna in Islamabad.
These all proposals including referendum is under the constitution and no one can object that any constitutional violation was committed.
Constitutional Amendment – A Proposal
I propose that the Last Sermon (Khutbah) of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) be included in the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which in my opinion, is the best and the ultimate charter for the human rights.
All Pakistanis are requested to support this proposal for making Pakistan the best and the No.1 country in the world.
If this proposal is accepted and truly implemented in our country; Pakistan may very soon become the paradise on planet earth.
The Last Sermon (Khutbah) of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) {Farewell Sermon}
Link:- http://www.iqrasense.com/about-islam/the-last-sermon-khutbah-of-prophet-muhammad-farewell-sermon.html
Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) delivered his last sermon (Khutbah) on the ninth of Dhul Hijjah (12th and last month of the Islamic year), 10 years after Hijrah (migration from Makkah to Madinah) in the Uranah Valley of mount Arafat. His words were quite clear and concise and were directed to the entire humanity.
After praising, and thanking Allah he said:
“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds.
ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd’al Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety (taqwa) and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.
(Reference: See Al-Bukhari, Hadith 1623, 1626, 6361) Sahih of Imam Muslim also refers to this sermon in Hadith number 98. Imam al-Tirmidhi has mentioned this sermon in Hadith nos. 1628, 2046, 2085. Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal has given us the longest and perhaps the most complete version of this sermon in his Masnud, Hadith no. 19774.)
One can heed words of wisdom and guidelines from the last sermon (khutbah) of the prophet (SAWS).
His sermons emphasized on the following:
Sacredness of a Muslim’s life and property.
The importance of propagating this message to all others (A Muslim’s responsibility thus does not end by following the religion)
A reminder that everyone is fully accountable for their deeds and Allah (God) will take every person into account. If everyone heeded to this fact alone, the world would be a much better place today.
“Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you.” These words of the prophet are self explanatory.
The prohibition of dealing with interest (Numerous accounts in Quran and Hadith prohibit taking, giving or being a part of any transaction dealing with interest).
“You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity.” These words of the prophet are self explanatory.
The awareness of satan and how satan can work to deviate us from the right path and doing evil things.
Rights of women over men and rights of men over women.
Treatment of women with kindness.
Modesty and chastity in women.
The importance of worshiping Allah (saying your five daily prayers (Salah), fasting during the month of Ramadan, giving charity (Zakat) and performing pilgrimage (Hajj).
Equality amongst all (blacks, white, Arabs, non-Arabs, etc.)
The need to establish justice.
Islam is the final divine religion (Last prophet and Last Book).
Civil Disobedience and Cricket Pakistan..!
Congratulations to Mr. Imran khan that our cricket team has also joined your call for the CDO movement and firstly, MISBAH chose to bat under favourable bowling conditions and later on, team got all out for 102 in 32.1 overs.
Some other interesting statistics of the Pakistani innings played under Civil Disobedience Movement called by the PTI.
Total balls of the innings 193
Scoring shot balls 58
Dot balls played. 135
Total boundaries x4. 7
Boundaries behind the
Wicket. 6
Boundaries in front 1
Innings sixes 1
Scored 19 runs for 3 wickets in 10 overs, which may well be a sort of a record for the power play overs, when only 2 fielders are allowed outside the circle.
Now, Pakistan is truly reaping the fruits of the over one year’s PCB chairmanship of cricketing and administrative wizard and darling of Mian Nawaz Sharif, Mr.Najam Sethi ( who is still the most powerful man in the board relegating the chairman Shahyar Khan as just a figure head) wherein, against the Sri Lankan team, we lost Test series 2-0 & ODI series 2-1, in a most ignominious manner.
In this regard, Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, must remember that the history will never forgive him for the fact that he was informed and forewarned many times in writing that cricket was NOT the cup of tea for the nincompoop Najam Sethi, but he supported him to the hilt, by compromising the national interest, for the reasons best know to Mian Nawaz Sharif and the world at large, as well; easily forgetting that the constitution of Pakistan, strictly prohibits nepotism and favouritism.
In fact, in this case the constitution of Pakistan, was flagrantly violated and then people had the guts to criticise the past dictators, for saying that constitution was just a piece of paper.
