Glaring failure of Shahbaz Sharif

Mian Shahbaz Sharif, either didn’t try or absolutely failed, in changing the decades old THANA culture, during his current tenure of government. This fact is all the more sad, if seen in the light that the CM Punjab doubled the Pay of Punjab Police, during the early days of his CM ship.

Singular Credit of Shahbaz Sharif

Mian Shahbaz Sharif deserves full credit and appreciation, for bringing in a cultural change, in the lives of all the residents of the province of Punjab; whereby, the habit of marriage functions continuing till very late in the night, has been disciplined; and under no circumstances, these functions are allowed beyond 10 in the night, along with very strict implementation of one dish menu rule.

Survive Networking Events by Being Generous

You’re not the only one who walks into a networking mixer full of dread. Before you make a run for the door, try a different approach. Tell yourself that it isn’t about you. Instead of trying to meet potential clients, or making another connection that will advance your career, focus exclusively on what you can do for the other attendees. Refrain from telling anyone about your own area of expertise and think about how you can help others in the room. Introduce yourself and immediately ask about them — who they are, why they’re there, and what they’re looking to achieve that evening. Then think about what connections you can make, what favors you might offer, what introductions you might broker. Not only will the event be more fun but you’ll learn about new people and ideas, and you might just get something out of it in return.

Today’s Management Tip of Harvard Business Review was adapted from “Confession of a Networking Pro” by Jodi Glickman.

If defeat is ordained by the fate, nevertheless, give it a good fight.

SHABASH Pakistani cricketers for putting a very good fight in the 3rd ODI match against South African team. Please remember, there is no shame in going down in a game, while you have given your best. Yes, abject surrender can never be digested.
Even, this game Pakistan could have won by playing Umar Akmal in place of Younis Khan or Shoaib Malik. Now, Abdur Rehman must be played the remaining two matches.
Misbah must show some boldness and the bowling coach must discipline the bowlers, from sending down so many wides and no balls.
