Pakistan must do R&D on Fusion reactors to produce clean electricity cheaper than coal..!

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

AoA.

Sir,

The following news item (link:- http://www.futurity.org/fusion-reactor-cheaper-coal-785162/?utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=referral&utm_term=timesofindia-timesofindia) clearly spells out a very cheap and extremely CLEAN source of electricity production, from the Fusion Reactor technology.

As is known to the whole world, Pakistani scientists are second to none, in proving their skills and facing the toughest scientific and technological challenges.

As such, you are requested to kindly order the concerned to immediately start working, on the plans to produce extremely cheap electricity with Fusion Reactors, to change the destiny of the nation on a fast track basis; and also to achieve (before due time) the 40,000 MW nuclear power production target fixed to be achieved by 2050.

THIS FUSION REACTOR COULD BE CHEAPER THAN COAL

Fusion energy almost sounds too good to be true—zero greenhouse gas emissions, no long-lived radioactive waste, a nearly unlimited fuel supply.

Perhaps the biggest roadblock to adopting fusion energy is that the economics haven’t penciled out. Fusion power designs aren’t cheap enough to outperform systems that use fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas.

University of Washington engineers hope to change that. They have designed a concept for a fusion reactor that, when scaled up to the size of a large electrical power plant, would rival costs for a new coal-fired plant with similar electrical output.

The team published its reactor design and cost-analysis findings last spring and will present results this week at the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Fusion Energy Conference in St. Petersburg, Russia.

“Right now, this design has the greatest potential of producing economical fusion power of any current concept,” says Thomas Jarboe, a professor of aeronautics and astronautics and an adjunct professor in physics.

HOW IT WORKS

The reactor, called the dynomak, started as a class project taught by Jarboe two years ago. After the class ended, Jarboe and doctoral student Derek Sutherland—who previously worked on a reactor design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology—continued to develop and refine the concept.

The design builds on existing technology and creates a magnetic field within a closed space to hold plasma in place long enough for fusion to occur, allowing the hot plasma to react and burn.

The reactor itself would be largely self-sustaining, meaning it would continuously heat the plasma to maintain thermonuclear conditions. Heat generated from the reactor would heat up a coolant that is used to spin a turbine and generate electricity, similar to how a typical power reactor works.

“This is a much more elegant solution because the medium in which you generate fusion is the medium in which you’re also driving all the current required to confine it,” Sutherland says.

There are several ways to create a magnetic field, which is crucial to keeping a fusion reactor going. The new design is known as a spheromak, meaning it generates the majority of magnetic fields by driving electrical currents into the plasma itself. This reduces the amount of required materials and actually allows researchers to shrink the overall size of the reactor.

Other designs, such as the experimental fusion reactor project that’s currently being built in France—called Iter—have to be much larger than the dynomak because they rely on superconducting coils that circle around the outside of the device to provide a similar magnetic field.

When compared with the fusion reactor concept in France, the dynomak is much less expensive—roughly one-tenth the cost of Iter—while producing five times the amount of energy.

COMPARED TO COAL

Jarboe and colleagues factored the cost of building a fusion reactor power plant using their design and compared that with building a coal power plant. They used a metric called “overnight capital costs,” which includes all costs, particularly startup infrastructure fees.

A fusion power plant producing 1 gigawatt (1 billion watts) of power would cost $2.7 billion, while a coal plant of the same output would cost $2.8 billion, according to their analysis.

“If we do invest in this type of fusion, we could be rewarded because the commercial reactor unit already looks economical,” Sutherland says. “It’s very exciting.”

Right now, the concept is about one-tenth the size and power output of a final product, which is still years away. The researchers have successfully tested the prototype’s ability to sustain a plasma efficiently, and as they further develop and expand the size of the device they can ramp up to higher-temperature plasma and get significant fusion power output.

The team has filed patents on the reactor concept and plans to continue developing and scaling up its prototypes.

The US Department of Energy funded the work.

How to change the destiny of Pakistan envisioned by the father of the nation?

An open letter to the Prime Minister.

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,

AoA.

Sir,

Somehow, I know without any doubt that whenever, you pray or visit the Holy land for prayers at Khana-e-Kaaba and Masjid-e-Nabvi (SAWW), the well being and glory of Pakistan and its nationals, is always at the center of your heart, while bowing to Allah (ST) for prayers.

I also have a confirmed belief that Allah (ST) has given you the chance to become the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time, to take some special task. However, it is up-to you to make your best mental, physical or sincere efforts to achieve that special task, or pass the time in normal routines.

And to enable you to succeed in chosen task for you, Allah (ST) is slowly, but gradually, creating favourable circumstances and golden opportunities. And to see these favours of Allah (ST), one need to have the required vision, rather than the ordinary eyesight.

Here, my mind goes to a famous saying of Helen Keller, quoted as below:

“The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.”

In my humble opinion the mission Allah (ST) wants you to accomplish is the “THE CHANGE FOR GOOD OF THE DESTINY OF PAKISTAN AND ITS RESIDENTS”.

As you may be well aware; and we have seen and observed in our lifetime, the changing of destiny of many countries, which were even worse off than our nation, like China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Gulf Emirates, Japan, Germany and many European countries completely and 100% devastated and ravaged by the wars.

Sir, your this tenure consists of a period of 5 years or 60 months, out of which 26 months (43+ %) have gone passed and only about 34 months are left.

As they say, better late than never. Still, if you are able to lead the nation to motivate, generate and channelize positive energy of 20 crore population, for rebuilding (by working DAY and NIGHT the remaining man-hours of 34 months can be converted into the man-hours of 68 months), Pakistan as one of the top ten countries of the world.

In this regard, one thing is absolutely clear that the hard work, sacrifices of personal comfort, absolute sincerity, impeccable honesty, elimination of VIP and SIFARISH culture, zero tolerance for (inefficiency, corruption, wastage of natural resources, nepotism and favouritism and no compromise on rule of law) must come from the Prime Minister himself, who should tighten his belt, to become the prime mover of all the engines of growth and development in the country.

We have witnessed in our times many examples of one man leadership of China, Malaysia, Singapore etc., changing the fate of their countries, single handedly.

Obviously, these leaders gave the blue print of their own vision to the next line of leadership, selected PURELY on merit, which was meticulously executed by the lower cadres of leadership.

Mian Nawaz Sharif Sahab, the biggest advantage you posses over those leaders discussed above, is the availability of very fast internet and super computers, which can perform the job of years in days.

Second advantage, which you can obtain is the unconditional cooperation of the entire population, to join your hands in the implementation of the vision of re-building a prosperous and developed Pakistan, if you can assure the nation that you are ready to work with all Pakistanis purely on merit, without any consideration of your relatives or party affiliation.

Third advantage, you will automatically obtain, in the shape of unqualified cooperation from the politicians, Judiciary, civil and military bureaucracy, professionals, businessman, labourers, students and farmers etc., if you can assure them that from now onwards, no appointment or case will be approved without merit. Also you will not disapprove dissent (in the national interest) coming from any level, as happened recently, in the case of a senior police officer, who was taken to task, for the reasons known to all and sundry.

This is necessary because a country of 20 crore population can not be controlled by a PM, CM or ministers. Every Pakistani working in the fields, factories or offices will have to perform his duty as if he was himself the PM of the country. You will have to make 20 crore PM’s who should be delivering their duties only having fear of Allah (ST) and fully abiding the law of the land.

Sir, in support of the completion of your vision (stated above) Allah (ST) has already bestowed Pakistan, with unimaginable and unbelievable advantages of China Pakistan Economic Corridor, reduction in oil prices, the nuclear agreement of Iran with the West and the huge success of operation Zarb-e-Azb shall INSHALLAH, result in huge economic, industrial and social benefits for Pakistan.

Mr. Prime Minister the die is cast for the change of the destiny of Pakistan. The time is waiting for you to grasp with both hands, the golden opportunity of the centuries, by announcing and taking the nation into full confidence, about your next 100 years plan (divided in 20 five years plans) for Pakistan.

Man is mortal his deeds can be immortal.

Kind Regards,

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Few out of box suggestions for Pakistan’s economic malaise..!

Many months ago in the year 2013, I passionately advised the PM to take personal charge of the affairs of the country, before these finance and foreign affairs advisors messed up the the whole thing and bring the government to its knees:

Mr. PM! you will have to take personal charge

H’able Mian Nawaz Sharif Sahab,

Salaam.

The above mentioned news reported today on 10 July, 2013, by the jang.com.pk that Saudi Arabia and UAE are providing (interest free and conditions free) cash and kind assistance of $8 billion to Egypt, further highlights the importance of my three doable suggestions put forward for your kind consideration in my article titled “Mr. PM! there are three options to avoid IMF loan”.published in the daily “The News” dated 27 June, 2013 links:-

http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-13-23752-Mr-PM!-There-are-three-options-to-avoid-IMF-loan

http://images.thenews.com.pk/27-06-2013/ethenews/t-23752.htm

In this regard, vide my email dated 9 July, 2013 addressed to your honour, titled “Few Suggestions to Revive Economy, Fast Track Improvements in Energy Crisis and Nation Security Policy” the possibility and practicability of option No.2, of my above mentioned article was duly elaborated for the convenience of your finance team as below:

Quote. “Your kind attention is invited to my earlier email informing that the news that Abu Dhabi has planned a $50 billion investment in India; and the negotiations are at a very advanced level. Abu Dhabi has the WORLDS BIGGEST SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUND . Now considering the following plus points of Pakistan:

i. Pakistan is the only country in the world which allows foreign investors to repatriate 100% profit and investment without any hassle.

ii. There is no income tax on IPP’s in Pakistan.

iii. The Indians are severely annoying the Abu Dhabi people with objections on their deal of Etihad Air with Jet Airways of India, which will give EA rights over 37,000 weekly seats in India, after EA purchases 24% shares of Jet Airways. Pakistan must grab this opportunity and offer a suitable agreement with PIA. Indian Jet Airways is in much more bad financial shape than PIA and is owned PRIVATELY.

iv. Pakistan should also offer to Abu Dhabi, management sharing in other avenues like, Port Qasim, KPT, steel mills, OGDC, PNSC etc., in lieu of their investment.

v. Pakistan can also offer to Abu Dhabi to invest in new Islamabad Airport, expansion and development of other airports, helicopter and small planes air taxi service to and from big cities to many smaller cities and towns, and development and export of world class fisheries, corporate farming, export of dairy products, fruits, flowers etc.

vi. Abu Dhabi had a very long and successful JV experience with Pakistan viz., Pak Arab Fertilisers Limited. Now they can be offered such JV’s for Refineries, Oil and Gas explorations, defence related production items and air craft manufacturings etc.”Unquote.

Mr. Prime Minister, this news of cash and kind (interest free and conditions free) financial help of Egypt, by the KSA and UAE proves that Pakistan was deliberately forced to take IMF loan with very high repeat very high interest rate of 3%, coupled with conditionality’s. Further, it has also proved that we have completely failed in convincing our Arab friends and 49 NATO countries led by the USA, that helping Pakistan is helping the world and its neighbours, against the menace of terrorism, mainly because Pakistan is the front line state against this world war of terrorism, for the last 13 years. Our friends and allies should be cognisant of the fact that the more Pakistan goes into poverty and economic deprivation, the more this situation will breed the terrorists.

In view of the foregoing, Mr. Prime Minister, you are passionately requested to personally take the charge of the economic policies of Pakistan, vis-a-vis it’s friends, to save Pakistan from the stranglehold of IMF and the World Bank; and from the tunnel vision of our financial and foreign affairs experts. This is all the more necessary because business as usual will never deliver (like the lousy suggestions of increasing tax burden and enhancing utility services rates, so that the ages old policy of penalising the honest common man and rewarding rich scoundrels, continues in this tenure as well, which obviously is the best recipe of an early demise of ANY government).

Pakistan needs nothing, except out of box solutions, which is only possible from a fearless leader and not a timid person, because a timid person like Pervaiz Musharraf, can rule a country, but he can never rule the hearts of his subjects.

With Best Wishes and Kind Regards,

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

My writings of 29 October, 2010 and 13 August, 2010 are as below.

Charter of Pakistan. A Clarion Call for The Survival
October 29, 2010 at 6:38pm

The demand of Mian Nawaz Sharif for a charter of Pakistan is a clarion call. Now the time has come to separate the growth, development, eradication of poverty & security of Pakistan from politics forever.

All other stake holders in Pakistan must immediately come forward for deciding about the direction of the future of the nation. In this regard, I will suggest that, we should aim to bring Pakistan, to the level of Singapore of 2010, by the year 2030.

All politics & considerations should be made subservient to this target for 2030, even if we have to abolish weekly holidays for the next 20 years & reduce our daily sleeping time to 6 hours.

I am more than confident that by the dint of sheer hard work, sincerity & honesty which is imbibed in the bones of Pakistani work force, we can rebuild our country into the comity of 20 developed nations of the world, in the next 15-20 years.

For the benefit of the general public, It will not be out of place to reproduce below my proposal to all the politicians submitted on 13 August, 2010 under the title ” An Excellent Opportunity for the Politicians ”

An Excellent Opportunity for the Politicians by Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad on Friday, August 13, 2010 at 5:54pm.

“Had Pakistan built some large dams in the wasted 10 years of Musharraf era, today the impact of floods would have been on a much reduced scale. These floods are an eye opener for those myopic politicians, who can’t see beyond their nose.

Today (13 August, 2010), Pakistan is economically standing, even behind the stage of 14th August 1947, where foreign exchange reserves are USD 15 billions against loans of about USD 60 billions.

We always crib that dictators had no vision & they did nothing for the long term benefit of Pakistan. Now we must turn this crisis into an opportunity, by planning for at least 100 years ahead.

The Prime Minister must immediately activate the parliament along with all the out of parliament forces, to jointly sit and agree on a 100 years growth and development vision for Pakistan. This vision should be divided into 20 five years plans on which all the politicians should agree.

This planning will give a clear direction to the nation and also save the time and energy of the incumbent and ensuing political governments in useless debates of which dam or project is in the national interest, or against it.

It must also be remembered that changing environmental conditions, are going to be the biggest challenge in very near future, for countries like Pakistan. And let there be no mistake that areas spared by floods this time may always be safe. The future environmental calamities may even be on a much larger scale, engulfing more than one nation. What recently happened in LEH (IOK), should be an eye opener for the entire SAARC countries.

So any future planning, must also be in coordination with and take care of the interests of the neighbouring nations, because no single country has the capacity to survive the adversities of the nature, alone.”

Vision for a smart Pakistan..!

Making Pakistan first smart country of the world..!

Dear Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, just to inform you that the Indian Prime Miniater Mr. Narendra Modi is taking India to another era of world’s latest smart city concept, which according to one definition is “A developed urban area that creates sustainable economic development and high quality of life by excelling in multiple key areas; economy, mobility, environment, people, living, and government. Excelling in these key areas can be done so through strong human capital, social capital, and/or ICT infrastructure.”

What are your government’s plans on making ALL cities of Pakistan as smart cities (not just Islamabad)?

It is suggested that world renowned IT personality Mr. Umar Saif, Chairman PITB & VC ITU Lahore, should be appointed your Advisor or Special Assistant with specific duties to make entire Pakistan, as the 1st smart COUNTRY of the world.

Moreover, also please peruse the NDTV’s today’s Tweet “Indian Cabinet likely to clear ‘smart city mission’ for 100 cities and ‘urban rejuvenation mission’ for 500 cities today, say sources”

The Economic Treason With Pakistan..!

Wake up Pakistan : Jaag Pakistan Jaag

Latest update about the ever worsening economic foundations of Pakistan from a news item titled “Rs4 trillion bonds may deal a blow to economy” published by the daily “Dawn” dated April 12, 2015 quoted as below:

Quote.”The high-yielding long-term Pakistan Investment Bonds (PIBs) could deal a blow to the economy as volume of bonds crossed Rs4 trillion on March 31, the State Bank reported on Friday.

As over-dependence on PIBs hurts, and borrowings piles up domestic debt, it cripples the banking system, compromising its capacity to serve as an important institution for development of economy.

The banks’ rising profits are the direct outcome of government’s debt servicing. Another report of State Bank said the government had to pay Rs746bn as debt servicing during July-Jan FY15.

The amount can easily cross Rs1.2tr in the remaining five months, a huge burden on economy struggling to contain its fiscal imbalances.” Unquote.

(Kindly peruse below an OLD but still very relevant article on the economic downslide of Pakistan, where now we are forced to take fresh loans, to repay the old loans, which in economic terms is NOT virtual, but REAL bankruptcy).

This has reference to the news item of 01 December 2012, by Mehtab Haider titled “Total debt scales Rs.14.5 trillion mark” published by the daily “The News” link :- http://www.thenews.com.pk/Todays-News-3-145837-Total-debt-scales-Rs145-trillion-mark

The gist of the above reveals the extremely precarious economic situation of Pakistan, as below.

1. Pakistan’s public debt and liabilities crossed Rs.13.5 trillion by end-September 2012, as per SBP data released on 30 November, 2012. However, a closer look reading of the data showed that the size of total debt is Rs.14.5 trillion.

2. According to SBP data total debt and liabilities at end of September 2012, touched $66.24 billion.

3. BY THE END OF JUNE 2012, PAKISTAN’S DEBT-TO-GDP RATIO STOOD AT 61.5%.

4. According to the former economic adviser Dr. Ashfaque Hassan Khan. “Even now, interest repayments are consuming 56 percent of the FBR’s revenue. And these unsustainable levels of public debt will be a burden on future generations who will service this debt through exorbitant taxation.”

5. Analysts say that irresponsible fiscal management, sharp depreciation of the Rupee (from Rs.60 to a dollar to Rs.97 to a dollar – in the last four years) and low economic growth, have caused the surge in public debt.

In view of the foregoing, it is clearly evident that we have reached a stage, where even alarm bells ringing time has passed. The economy of Pakistan is not sinking, it has already sunk. Imports are more than the double of the exports. Foreign exchange reserves are fast depleting.

However, what is very alarming and strange that the entire government and the parliament is silent over the issue, as if, they are in collusion with each other, on (God forbid) this virtual economic demise of the country. Otherwise, at least a single person from the entire parliament would have raised his voice, over violation of the binding on the government, for not exceeding the debt-to-GDP ratio over 60%. (Please refer para 3 above).

We should remember that USSR was not dis-membered due to the violation or collapse of its geographical boundaries. Rather, it was the collapse of its economy, which destroyed a superpower overnight. The USSR broke down without firing of a single bullet, just due to its economic melt down. If, even at this later stage, patriotic Pakistanis won’t raise their voice over this virtual economic collapse of the country, then be ready, history will never forgive us, for our collective Harakiri. No amount of military or nuclear power, can save a nation from its demise, due to the economic collapse. Yes, collective will power of its people, can save a nation from any crisis, but that too if the people are are not too late, as time and tide waits for none.

Although, Pakistan is in a perpetual state of war, for more than a decade yet, the government never acted in a manner, that would reflect even slight realisation on its part, to make its expenses in a more prudent manner. No economy measures imposed to either reduce the size of the bloated cabinet, stop payments of foreign exchange to top government functionaries who are entitled for such perks, or even restrict purchase of new cars etc. This is extreme callousness with the nation. On the other side, high and mighty are enjoying benefits which even a rich country like Switzerland, can not afford to its VIP’s, for example allowing instalment payment of power bills of their factories, over a period of 2000 YEARS. The Pakistani VIP class is enjoying such facilities and benefits which even the Queen of England would envy.

Now business as usual can not be continued.

The economic treason with the state of Pakistan, by all the concerned, looks like a fit case for the patriotic people in the government, opposition (in and out of parliament) and the entire civil society, to demand the immediate formation of a very lean national government, which should impose an economic emergency and also take necessary action on the question that “why all the concerned remained silent when the debt-to-GDP ratio exceeded 60%, that too, five months back on 30 June, 2012.” Don’t forget when the same problem was faced by the US government, even the salaries were not paid, till such time, President Barack Obama, got approval from the law makers, for enhancing the expenditures limit.

It will not be out of place to end this note with quote of the Midwestern tycoon Warren Buffett, who once gave an easy solution to America ’s debt problem on CNBC:
“I could end the deficit in five minutes. You just pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more than three percent of GDP all sitting members of congress are ineligible for reelection. “

Mr. PM Pakistan is calling you..!

Respected Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Sahab,

AoA.

Sir,

Now when your party has won almost every possible winnable seat in the senate, it is not the time to rejoice. Rather, you must rise to the occasion, with more humility and statesmanship, to serve the nation in a unique way, by uniting all the political forces and the stake holders, on a plan of charter of development for next hundred years for Pakistan, wherein, every aspect of economic activity, affecting the poorest of the poor, should be decided with consensus.

In this regard, all the national stake holders should decide now, about all future plans for the next hundred years (these plans should be divided in 20 five year plans) in the educational, health, infrastructure, science and technology, housing, social services, communications, IT and all other segments of civil and military sectors.

And after a consensus is developed amongst all the stake holders, on the charter of development for Pakistan for the next hundred years, for example, which dams, roads, ports etc., will be constructed during the next century; no politics should be allowed on this rebuilding of the country and all future governments must be bound (as per a law passed from the parliament) to adhere to this agreed plan, in a most sacrosanct manner.

Sir, it must be made clear to all and sundry that during the last almost 68 years, our preferences of self serving politics, over the development of Pakistan (for example not allowing to build certain mega dams and projects) has practically made the nation bankrupt, where a stage has arrived that we have to borrow fresh loans, to repay the old loans; and against about $15 billion foreign exchange reserves, foreign debt of Pakistan stands above $70 billions.

As such, under the circumstances, denial for a consensus is not an option. If at this turning point of our history, the collective national leadership, will fail the nation, then the following couplet of Dr. Allama Iqbal, should also be remembered by replacing the word Hindustan, with Pakistan:

نہ سمجھو گے تو مٹ جاؤ گے اے ھندوستان والو
تمہاری داستان تک نہ ھوگی داستانوں میں

Best Regards,

Syed Nayyar Uddin Ahmad

Lahore.

Congratulations PM Pakistan..!

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif PM Pakistan your government deserves kudos, for giving relief to the general public, by NOT increasing petroleum prices for the month of March, 2015 whereas, the Indian government today increased petroleum rates equal to about PKR 5.70/ litre (IRS 3.18/ litre).

However, kindly issue necessary orders to the concerned to take immediate punitive action against the petroleum marketing companies, for constantly fleecing the general public by NOT reducing a single penny, in the highly exorbitant prices of the Engine Oil which is being sold for about PKR 675/ litre.

Mortal man…immortal deeds..!

Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif,

Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan,

Dear Sir,

Please remember that MAN IS MORTAL HIS GOOD DEEDS ARE IMMORTAL.

Kindly peruse below a news item published on 16 November, 2014 by the Times of India, which reflects that the Indian PM is talking nothing at the G20 summit in Australia, except about the BLACK MONEY repatriation to India.

Mr. Prime Minister, we are very surprised that although, bringing back the BLACK and STOLEN money of Pakistan stashed in the foreign countries, was the main agenda of the PMLN’s Elections 2013 campaign with the famous election slogan:

اےطائر لا ھوتی اس رذق سے موت اچھی. جس رذق سے آتی ہو پرواز میں کوتاہی

yet, you have personally never ever talked on this issue, since you became the PM in June 2013.

Your Excellency, the nation demands that your government must seriously fulfil its promises on bringing back nations looted money from abroad; and also fulfil another extremely important promise of breaking the bowl of foreign loans.

Moreover, please also ask your finance minister that he should remember that he was the minister of the Pakistani government and not appointed by either the IMF or the Swiss government. He should not callously tell the nation that looted money repatriation from abroad was well neigh impossible; and at the same time our government officials are continuing excursion trips of Switzerland, as if they were employed by the nation to have joy rides.

Everyone going abroad on state expenses, must inform on return to the nation that what tangible benefits materialised for Pakistan, due to his foreign trip.

Mr. Prime Minister, please also stop your ministers and officials from taking the nation on a ride.

Mian Sahab, the nation wants results on your promises of bringing back the black money from abroad and breaking the bowl of the curse of the foreign loans. We Pakistanis do not want to be burdened with useless statements and more and more IMF and world bank loans, repayment of which is now eating up a very major and alarmingly high chunk of the nation’s revenues.

Kindly give the following ONLY Two tasks to Mr. Ishaq Dar for completion, during your current tenure:

– To get rid of Pakistan from the entire foreign debt, either by getting it written off or by any other way.

– Bring back the ENTIRE looted money of Pakistan of ANYONE and EVERYONE, parked anywhere in the world.

And, if the finance minister says that he can not accomplish these two assignments or to him these two tasks looks impossible … then please appointment someone else, as the finance minister, with these monumental assignments, which if achieved, will make the tenure of your current rule not only MONUMENTAL but IMMORTAL as well.

Mian Sahab, history will NOT judge you for how many times you became the PM, but it will remember you for your services to the nation, as is the example of the famous ruler of India, namely Sher Shah Soori. No one knows for how much time he ruled, but he is remembered for his monumental achievement of building the Grand Trunk Road.

MAN IS MORTAL HIS GOOD DEEDS ARE IMMORTAL.

Times of India news report published on 16 November, 2014, is as below:

“G20 summit: Narendra Modi calls for ‘close coordination’ on black money
BRISBANE: As India makes attempts to recover black money from abroad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked every country, especially tax havens, to provide information for tax purposes in accordance with treaty obligations.
Raising the pitch on the black money issue, Modi in his intervention at the summit of the Group of 20 industrialized and major emerging economies called for close global coordination to address the challenge posed by it.
Modi voiced India’s support for a new global standard on automatic exchange of tax information, saying it would be instrumental in getting information relating to unaccounted money hoarded abroad and enable its eventual repatriation. He also extended India’s backing for all initiatives to facilitate exchange of information and mutual assistance in tax policy and administration.
The prime minister made the remarks at the plenary session on the subject of “Delivering Global Economic resilience” on the second and final day of the summit held at the Brisbane Exhibition and Convention centre.
He also expressed the hope that Base Erosion and Profit Sharing (BEPS) system would fully address concerns of developing and developed economies.
BEPS is a technical term referring to the effect of tax avoidance strategies used by multinational companies on countries’ tax basis. BEPS is known more commonly as “Transfer pricing”
This term is used in a project headed by the OECD that is said to be an attempt by the world’s major economies to try to rewrite the rules on corporate taxation to address the widespread perception that the corporations don’t pay their fair share of taxes.
The prime minister also said that increased mobility of capital and technology have created new opportunities for avoiding tax and profit shifting.
Modi underpinned the need for the world community to take coordinated decisions although each country has its domestic priority.
“Need for policy coordination among major economies remains strong,” he said.
“Close coordination is important not just for addressing the challenge of black money but also security issues like terrorism, drug trafficking and arms smuggling,” he said.
Touching upon the resilience of the financial system in the world, Modi said it will also depend on cyber security.”

Better late than never..!

All the Pakistani stake holders in its political system, more so the PTI, must realise that the current political logjam resolution, through the judicial commission enquiry, may create more problems than providing the black and white answers to the question of whether the election 2013, were massively rigged or not. In fact, this is a classical catch 22 situation.

As such, foresight demands and also it is in the larger interest of the nation, to not to follow a course of option, which most certainly will pop up more serious problems, instead of resolving the issue of massive riggings in the E-2013.

Since, Pakistan has already fallen behind in every sector of economic development, even compared with such countries like Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh and SriLanka etc., it can ill afford plunging from one crisis to another, for months and years on. It is high time that every stake holder realised that enough was enough and for the sake of Pakistan, we have to move forward, sacrificing our egotism.

As they say no player is bigger than the sports, it should be clearly realised that no politician is also bigger than the country and its national interest.

Hence, in view of the foregoing, the following win win solution is being placed before all the stake holders and the key institutions to immediately take Pakistan out of the present political crisis.

PROPOSAL:

– Pakistan can have a referendum under the supervision of its armed forces and rangers, to get reply of just one question i.e., whether E-2013 were rigged or not. And, if the answer is in affirmative then the Prime Minister Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, should dissolve all the assemblies, set up a new care taker govt and hold fresh elections, under a new EC.

– Moreover, before the dissolution of the assemblies, the parliament must also pass a bill, for the election reforms, as per the consensus of all the stake holders.

– In the meantime, the PTI should also join back the assemblies and end its Dharna in Islamabad.

The proposal of referendum is allowed under the constitution and no one can object that any constitutional violation was committed.
