A Suggestion for the Pakistani Foreign Policy
Pakistan’s Foreign policy is excellent in theory, perhaps the finest in the world.
However, this policy should be implemented in its true letter and spirit, with core emphasis on PEACE, particularly with its neighbours; and foreign policy’s thrust and theme should be that, any and every action, must result in the economic benefit of the country.
Every Pakistani envoy’s performance must be measured, against the given economic benefits advantage, accrued for Pakistan in a time bound frame.
Moreover, it should not be forgotten that ambassadorial job is a very professional matter, which should not be doled out to the friends and cronies as a favour.
Our ambassadors are our generals, who fight (sans weapons) for Pakistan’s interests, while based in the heartland land of the alien countries.
The new era of Pakistan must begin with a solemn pledge, that only right person be given the right job, even if his face is not liked by the rulers. As such, if a competent person is available in the opposition’s camp, he must be offered the job in the gigantic task of rebuilding of Pakistan.
Let us build a new economically strong and politically stable Pakistan, by our collective and wise decisions; knowing very well that no political party, group or institution is so strong, to run this country single handedly, for a sustainable period, without the help and cooperation of each other.
We must also realise that our personal safety and better future of our coming generations, lies in accommodating and cooperating with each other, with the sole aim of building a STRONG Pakistan.
