Stop Trying to Hide Your Failures

Even though failure is praised in places like Silicon Valley, it’s still considered taboo in many workplaces. But the truth is that we need to experience failure in order to learn and grow. So how do we leverage a setback to succeed next time? First, we have to speak openly and honestly about our failures, so they are put into their proper context. Recognize that innovation requires failure. If you have a 100% success rate, you’re not doing anything new. Instead of hiding your mistakes, own your narrative. In some ways, it’s a reframing: it’s not so much that you’re creating something (such as a product or service) that failed; it’s that you’re steadily improving a series of drafts. And remember, failure is ongoing. After all, stretch goals are things outside your wheelhouse that may not work out. But if you’re making new and different mistakes, that’s progress.

“Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and a richness to life that nothing else can bring. Who, being loved, is poor? ”

A Healthy Lunch Can Fuel Better Productivity

What we eat affects our performance more than we realize. That’s why a poor decision at lunch can derail an entire afternoon. Foods like pasta, bread, cereal, and soda give you a burst of energy, followed by a slump. And high-fat foods like cheeseburgers and BLTs make you groggy because your digestive system works harder to process them, reducing oxygen levels in the brain. Fruits and vegetables, on the other hand, contain vital nutrients that can motivate and energize you, as well as improve memory and enhance mood. To eat healthier and accomplish more work in the afternoons, make your eating decisions before you get hungry. Eat smaller, more frequent meals to avoid spikes and drops in blood sugar, which are bad for productivity. And make healthy snacking easier; place some almonds, protein bars, or fruit by your computer, rather than a bag of chips.

“No matter where life takes you — big cities, small towns — you will inevitably run across small minds. People who think they are better than you, people who think that being pretty or popular automatically makes you a worthwhile human. None of these things matter as long as you have a strength of character, integrity… sense of pride. So when you meet someone for the first time, don’t judge them by their situation in life, because you never know, they may end up being your very best friend.”

Palestinian minister dies after being struck by Israeli troops

(A TOI news report. Shame on the silence of the Pakistani media on this important news).

Western media had the galls to say that Pakistan is the 8th most dangerous country.

The following news proves that Israel is the number 1 country in the sate sponsored terrorism.

Moreover, this news also proves the worth and value of an independent nation’s liberty and freedom.

This news is also an eye opener for those who still think creation of Pakistan was the mistake of the father of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

TURMUSIYA (West Bank): A Palestinian minister died shortly after being hit by Israeli soldiers during a protest on Wednesday in the occupied West Bank, a Reuters photographer who witnessed the incident and a Palestinian medic said.

Ziad Abu Ein, a minister without portfolio who was in his early 50s, was rushed by ambulance from the scene, in the village of Turmusiya, but died en route to the nearby Palestinian city of Ramallah.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in a statement, called Abu Ein’s death “a barbaric act which we cannot be silent about or accept”. Announcing three days of national mourning, Abbas said he would take “necessary steps” after an investigation.

The Israeli army was looking into the incident, a spokeswoman said, She did not immediately provide further information.

About 100 foreign and Palestinian activists with the Committee to Resist Settlements and the Wall, the government-run protest organization that Abu Ein headed, were on their way to plant trees and protest near an Israeli settlement when they were stopped at an improvised checkpoint, witnesses said.

A group of around 15 Israeli soldiers fired tear gas at the protesters and began scuffling with them.

Abu Ein was struck by a hand to the neck during an altercation with two of the soldiers, and was rushed away in an ambulance shortly afterwards, the Reuters photographer said.

Bilateral tensions have been fuelled in recent weeks by the killing of 10 Israelis and a foreign visitor in Palestinian attacks. More than a dozen Palestinians have been killed over the same period, including most of those accused of carrying out the assaults.

Palestinians in Ramallah closed shops in protest at the minister’s death and youths threw stones at Israeli soldiers guarding a Jewish settlement outside the city, Palestinian security sources said.
