BCCI and the IPL Match Fixing

Why the BCCI, allowed the Indian match fixing bookies, the facility of maximum time for spot and match fixing betting, in the shape of Strategic Time Out?
This proves BCCI is (from head to toe), hands in gloves with the bookies, in fixing IPL matches. However, if this is untrue, then BCCI should immediately withdraw, the Strategic Time Out break, during the remaining matches.
This will not only enhance the image of IPL but will restore the credibility of BCCI, as well.

If you want to give a light to others you have to glow yourself.

Give Feedback That Crosses Cultures

Giving critical feedback is an essential part of a manager’s job. But people in Shanghai don’t provide feedback in the same way as people in Strasbourg or Stockholm, so how can do your job when you’re working across cultures? Here are three tips:

Learn the new rules. Read up on the values, beliefs, and assumptions people generally hold about social interactions in this region. Observe it in action to pick up on cues, such as how direct you’re expected to be, or how important it is to save face in group settings.

Customize your behavior. Don’t assume you have to “go native.” You can often create a blend of styles that’s comfortable to you and effective in the new setting.

Find a cultural mentor. Look for someone who’s worked in the area, preferably for many years. She can help you craft an approach that fits you and the place you work.

Today’s Management Tip was adapted from “Giving Feedback Across Cultures” by Andy Molinsky.

“Instead of putting others down, try improving yourself
instead. The only person you have a right to compete with is
you. In the meantime, treat others how you’d like to be
treated. One trait that some of the best (communicators) share
is empathy. A couple of kind words can not only make a
person’s day, but earn you a friend and supporter for life.
For the rest of the week, whenever you see someone you want to judge negatively, pay them a compliment instead. See what
happens.”

Mein Kiss Kay Hath Pay Aapna Lahu Talash Karoon?

Daily The News has again reported another suicide due to poverty and economic hardship in Lahore, on page 3, titled “Father of seven commits suicide over poverty”.

Our public representatives must ensure help to such poor folks in their area from government Zakat funds or else they should be booked on murder charge, in case of any suicide due to poverty reasons.
