Use Personal Rituals to Make
Changes Stick

How many times have you promised to exercise more, or start meditating, or spend less time at the office? To make changes that last, create rituals — highly specific behaviors that you do at the same time every day (or on specific days you select). Willpower is a limited resource, so use less of it by making challenging activities automatic. By setting a time for your routine, you don’t have to spend energy thinking about when to get it done. If you find yourself faltering, reduce the challenge but stay the course. Run three days a week instead of four. Repetition, even in very small doses, builds capacity. Any positive change you can make will be hugely satisfying — and a source of inspiration to make the next one.

“Life is truly a ride. We’re all strapped in, and no one can
stop it. As you make your way from youth to adulthood to
maturity, sometimes you put your arms up and scream; sometimes you just hang onto the bar in front of you. But the ride is the thing. I think the most you can hope for at the end of
life is that your hair is messed up, you’re out of breath, and
you didn’t throw up.”

JANG newspaper reports that President Asif Ali Zardari paid Rs.6000/- as tip along with Rs.4000/- bill of his dinner at a Karachi restaurant. Hope this amount was not paid from the poor taxpayers account, who doesn’t earns this much, even in a month?

Get Customers to Advocate for You

When deciding whether to give you their business, prospective customers trust one source of information above all others: their peers. To sell more, you need to get your current customers marketing and selling — advocating — for you. First, find the core customers who are passionate about your company. One way to do this is by asking the “net promoter” question: “How likely are you to recommend us to a friend?” Then, for those who respond with “highly likely,” make it easy for them to do so right then. Give them the option to easily post a recommendation to their Facebook friends, LinkedIn connections, and Twitter followers. Try giving them the tools to write a product review on a site important to your market. Or make it simple for them to upload a video singing your praises.
