Storyboard Your Presentation
Before you start creating slides for your next talk, plan what you’re going to say.
A storyboard — a visual outline of your presentation — will save you more time than it takes to create it.
First, draw small representations of your ideas on sticky notes. The small space forces you to use simple, clear words and pictures.
Limit yourself to one idea per slide: There’s no reason to crowd them. This sketching process will help you clarify what you want to say and how you want to say it.
As you storyboard, you’ll be able to tell immediately which concepts are clunky or overly complex (you’ll run out of space on your sticky notes).
Eliminate them, and brainstorm new ways to communicate those messages more clearly.
Today’s Management Tip was adapted from the HBR Guide to Persuasive Presentation.

An Excerpt from a TOI News
The moment Ravi Shastri announced the name of the controversial BCCI president, there was a loud jeer from the 61,000 odd crowd present at the stadium which reminded a lot of how former IOA chief Suresh Kalmadi was booed at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, 2010.
Srinivasan decided not to resign from board president’s post despite his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan being arrested by Mumbai Police on charges of betting and passing on information to the bookies.
Clad in navy blue suit and with a sky blue shirt, Srinivasan wore a gloomy look during the presentation ceremony and was not certainly amused when there was collective booing as soon as Shastri announced his name.
The second time when his name was announced to present the winners’ trophy, there was a deathly silence followed by another round of jeers with most of the spectators leaving for home.

A NDTV Report
Police seize visiting cards that reveal Gurunath Meiyappan’s association with Chennai Super Kings
Reported by Saurabh Gupta, Edited by Sindhu Manjesh | Updated: May 27, 2013 10:28 IST
Chennai: Visiting cards allegedly found during searches at the Chennai home of Gurunath Meiyappan describe him as the team principal of the IPL team Chennai Super Kings or CSK. But India Cements, which owns the team, has said he is just an honorary member. And the man who heads India’s cricket board, N Srinivasan, says Mr Meiyappan was merely an “enthusiastic” supporter who traveled with the team.
Gurunath Meiyappan is Mr Srinivasan’s son-in-law and has been arrested on charges of betting. Mr Meiyappan’s role in CSK has been under intense scrutiny, amid rising pressure on his father-in-law to resign for what is being seen by many as a massive conflict of interest. Mr Srinivasan has ruled out resigning.
In an eight-hour-long search at Mr Meiyappan’s home yesterday, the police reportedly recovered CSK auction lists, envelopes and a diary with the team’s insignia, and T-shirts bearing the team’s logo, apart from the 190 visiting cards.
What the police are looking for, sources said, are the mobile phones that they allege Mr Meiyappan used to place bets. Those have not been found yet and the police will continue their searches today.
Mr Meiyappan was arrested on Saturday after being named by Vindoo Dara Singh, a small-time actor who has been arrested for alleged links with bookies suspected of spot-fixing IPL games. Mr Singh has allegedly told the police that he placed bets on behalf of Mr Meiyappan, who has been remanded to police custody till May 29.
The police alleges that Mr Meiyappan has told them Vindoo Dara Singh lured him into betting. Mumbai police on Sunday ‘confronted’ CSK Mr Meiyappan with the actor during questioning about IPL betting rackets. “Gurunath and Vindoo were today made to sit face-to-face and were questioned,” a senior Crime branch official said.
A ‘team principal’ is a top member in team management. The Chennai Super Kings is the most successful team across the six editions of the Indian Premier League. In yesterday’s final it lost to the Mumbai Indians by 23 runs.

ICC – International Cricket Council, come on ICC the Game of Cricket is Calling You.
BCCI is not Board of Cricket Crimes of India.
BCCI will have to decide once for ever, whether the game of Cricket is bigger than the man, or vice versa.
Recently, in South Africa, the chairman and the entire board members of Football governing body, were sacked for their involvement in match fixing.
Actually, every body wants a scape goat in the name of Srinivasan. But how can all the BCCI board members be exonerated from their collective responsibility, in a very serious criminal activity. All the BCCI members were enjoying the booty of their collective crimes in the game of cricket, as if BCCI, stood for Board of Cricket Crimes of India.
Can India, like South Africa, also do it, by sacking the entire BCCI board members, only time will tell?
Till such time all the mess is cleared in India, the ICC must suspend the BCCI membership of ICC.
ICC – International Cricket Council
Company Overview The ICC Mission As the international governing body for cricket, the International Cricket Council (ICC) will lead by: • Promoting and protecting the game, and its unique spirit • Delivering outstanding, memorable events • Providing excellent service to Members and stakeholders •…

Dear Reader,
Your comment on the article ”I have no intention of resigning, N Srinivasan says” is now displayed on timesofindia.com.
”There was an old Indian film named “Pawittar Paapi”. Today’s statement of BCCI and CSK OWNER reminded me of the title of that film. Sir, no corruption gives any receipt for the wrong doing. Yes, circumstantial evidences are the basis of prosecuting in such crimes. Let, at least Srinivasan say once “Yes, my son in law or out law is a bad egg.””
