Early demise of Imran Farhat
Imran Farhat is out after scoring 2 runs in 6 balls.
I had clearly informed the PCB, even before the departure of the team, that selection of Imran Farhat over Ahmad Shahzad was the biggest blunder of Iqbal Qasim, the nincompoop chief selector of PCB.
I had even pleaded to the chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf, to personally intervene and overrule the selection of Imran Farhat over Ahmad Shahzad.
But this chairman, misses no opportunity to prove that in comparison, previous chairman PCB, Ijaz Butt was a genius.

Brush Up on Your Grammar
People see your language as a reflection of your competence. Make lots of writing mistakes, and you’ll come across as uneducated and uninformed. But it’s probably been a long time since you learned about dangling participles and parts of speech in school.
So take it upon yourself to brush up on the rules.
Consult guides on grammar and usage, such as Strunk and White’s Elements of Style.
Ask knowledgeable colleagues to proofread your material and to explain their corrections.
Pay attention to what talented writers inside and outside the organization do.
Read first-rate nonfiction, which will help you cultivate an appreciation of the skills you’re trying to acquire.

The ATC judgement in Shahzeb murder case is the victory of justice in Pakistan.
It’s also the victory of a very vibrant Civil Society and highly conscientious Media in the country.
The nation also salutes the H’able Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Mr. Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Sahab, who took suo motu action in this case.
A country can sustain with the system of KUFR but not with the system of ZULM.

An NDTV Report…
In Rajasthan government ads, a young girl’s mistaken identity
Reported by Harsha Kumari Singh, Edited by Prasad Sanyal | Updated: June 07, 2013 11:53 IST
Jaipur: Till earlier this week, large hoardings in Jaipur campaigning against child marriage showed a young girl, her head covered. The same photograph was used on government websites along with details of welfare schemes for young girls and women.
The hoardings have been removed; so have the online photos, after it emerged that the poster-child was a young Pakistani who was kidnapped two years ago. The mistake was leaked to the media by a government official.
The young girl’s photo had been used in news stories at the time that reported on young Pakistani Hindu girls who were being forced to change their religion before being married.
“This picture has been used in the government’s publicity material for some time. I am investigating what happened,” said Rekha Gupta, who took over recently as the Director of the Women and Child Weflare Department, which allegedly circulated the photo for use to other government ministries.
Sources said that one reason why the mistake went undetected for so long is that the girl in the photograph is wearing the sort of traditional outfit that is often seen in Western Rajasthan. But adjoining Sindh, the Pakistani province from where the girl went missing, has a culture similar to the desert people of Jaislamer and Barmer
A new angle to the controversy has been added by reports that the picture is also posted on another website as that of a girl from Kutch in Gujarat, raising new doubts about who she really is.

Communicate What You’ll Accomplish in Your First 90 Days
As a new hire, you’ll have 90 days to make an impact. So it’s not surprising that many interviewers ask the question: “What do you hope to achieve in your first three months?” Have a thoughtful answer ready — one that helps people envision how you’ll work with your team, present to your boss, and talk to customers. Start by describing the role in big-picture terms. Say briefly how you think the position fits into the larger organization. Then define the challenges you would face. Draw on perspectives from outside the organization, like what industry experts say, or how you’ve seen similar challenges dealt with at other companies. Lastly, offer clear recommendations. Avoid giving a bland, predictable answer like “I wouldn’t make any changes before learning more.” But don’t promise more than you can deliver either.

A Recipe to Defeat the Terrorism

The sudden increase of acts of terrorism, with particular reference to the incidents in Karachi, Quetta, KPK and Rawalpindi on Nov. 21, 2012, highlights the importance of the preventive measures to curb the menace of terrorism, which is causing severe losses to the men, material, reputation and image of the country.
In fact, now it looks that the forces adversely inimical towards Pakistan, have launched an all out attack, which has no parallel in the past. For Pakistan, it is now almost a do or die battle, which can not be won alone by our security forces fighting and suffering heavy losses of both men and material; without the total involvement of the each and every citizen of the country.
In the past cases of terrorist attacks on the GHQ, PIDC house & Pakistan Navy air base, it was reported that the gang of attackers were residing in a rented house for quite some time, in an area not very far away from their targets. It was also reported that the neighbors of these houses were although, suspicious of these tenants yet, they kept quiet and did not tip area police, about their apprehensions.
Under the prevailing circumstances, there is a dire need for motivating general public, to remain extra-vigilant in playing their role of defending the motherland, by involvement of entire population of the country, to look out for the stay and suspicious activities of the terrorist, in their near vicinity.
As such, In order to make the stay of terrorists at any place almost impossible, it is proposed to actively involve the entire population, to look out & hunt them. This objective can be easily achieved, by the announcement of the Government, that a REWARD of Rs.50 million (Rupees 5 Crores) shall be paid to any person, who informs the Police, about the terrorist staying in a house, hostel, hotel, rest house or any such place.
For Pakistan, it is not a war against terror, rather it is a world war, with no other option except to win it quickly; and to achieve that objective, the entire population of the country must be geared up and involved in the task of watch and vigilance.
