A note posted on 6 Oct. 2012 at the fb:-

Question asked by the World Bank on Facebook on 6 October, 2012 :- What will it take to end the hunger of one billion people, who daily go to the bed hungry?

My Reply :- Since, a recent study tells that countries which took loans from WB & IMF have experienced increasing suicide rates, there is hardly any answer required to the question, that what it will take to end hunger of those one billion people, who go to the bed hungry, every night.

Your extremely hard/harsh loan terms are killing the poorest of the poor people in many ways, what to talk of hunger.

Don’t forget that very soon WB & IMF, may be tried for crimes against humanity; because your loans not only breeds and enhances corruption, they increase poverty, which also breeds terrorism.

Kindly immediately revisit all the inhuman terms and conditions of your loans, particularly given to the poor and developing countries; and also consider writing off these loans which are in fact, sucking blood from the poorest of the poor, to serve the lavish life styles of your employees, consultants, advisers and contractors etc.

My note posted on 5 June 2012 at the fb, which is still very relevant.

Pakistan, World Bank signs agreement

ISLAMABAD – An Agreement was signed between the Government and the World Bank for $ 200 million funding for Natural Gas Efficiency Project.

As a rule of thumb in such loans from World Bank and other such agencies, the third world recipient countries only get 20% out of the sanctioned total amount.

The rest of the loan value goes back under various charges like processing charges, consultants fees (usually the consultant is the wife of the country world bank head) and other such heads.

As such, Pakistan will hardly receive about $20 million from this loan. However, we will have to repay the entire $200 million plus interest.

So, under the circumstances, we should refuse the loan (now we will have to pay charges even on refusal to accept the loan), with thanks to the WB. We have had it enough of their generosity.

Concept cars: NUST race car finishes in top half at international competition

By Our CorrespondentPublished: August 6, 2014

Named after late Naval Captain Nadeem Ahmed (Shaheed), the concept car manufactured by the students of National University of Science and Technology (NUST) improved its position by 33 steps in comparison to its performance last year and stood 51st out of 106 teams from all over the world.

The annual formula student competition that was held at the famed Silverstone Circuit in England between the 9th and 14th of July also declared Team Pakistan as the team with the best media support, as the participation of the car at the competition was covered 88 times in the print media and 30 times in the electronic media, said a press release.

Shah Talha Sohail, driver of the NAS 14 sports car and a member of the team, paid special kudos to the Pakistani media for supporting the car. “When we arrived at Silverstone, everyone was skeptical about the performance of the team among [opponents from] developed nations, however the excellent support by the Pakistan media and its recognition at the competition was a big boost for the whole team ahead of the competition,” he stated after his return from the trip.

According to Talha, the NUST team managed to surpass a number of experienced teams including India, Turkey and Egypt.

He shared that NAS14 also managed to clear five out of six inspections and tests. “Last year none of the tests were cleared,” he remarked.

The Formula NUST Racing team was supported by Interactive Group, O3b Networks and Sri Lanka’s EZY Racing.

Interactive Group CEO Shahid Mahmud and EZY Racing CEO Shafaraz Hamzadeen paid tribute to the young NUST students for their “big leap forward”.

Formula Student, run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, challenges student engineers from all over the world to design, build and race a single seat racing car in one year. These sports cars are then judged on their speed, acceleration, handling and endurance in a series of time-trial races, while the teams are also tested on various counts..

Respected Mohammad Zubair Sahab, this has reference to your very detailed statement posted on the fb, justifying that all was well in the 2013 General Elections of Pakistan.

Dear Mohammad Zubair Sahab, Sir, if the PMLN’s election victory was clad in such an iron cast, why then it took refuge behind the courts stay orders, in those four contentious constituencies? And what has NOW changed that Ayaz Sadiq says he is ready to resign, if this can diffuse the crisis?

As far as, election rigging is concerned why the TOTKAS OF ZUBAIDA APA came out of the election bags? Hope you also watched mutilated and burnt votes on road along with the vote box at Ahsan Iqbal’s area. Hope you also saw stuffing of votes shown on the TV and other such like documented election fraud with the voters of Pakistan?

So, better we now leave this debate of rigging was done or not.

Now as they say in Punjabi “GHORA BHI HAZIR AND MAIDAN BHI HAZIR”.

Small rigging could have been digested. But TYPO ERROR MASS level rigging didn’t even spare ZAB, what to say of PMLN..!

Now the time of reckoning seems to have arrived and no one can push the clock back..!

Hard luck… But this the way the poetic justice is….otherwise Saddam Hussain and Hosni Mubarak were also the champions of democracy, with above 95% votes and then why PMLN rejected the DEMOCRACY of Musharraf, when he got 99% votes in his referendum?

What is good for goose is good for gander Sir..!

As they say in the USA “YOU (PMLN) ASKED FOR IT”…

And Mr. Zubair, if you were the manager of the election campaign of the PMLN, then you should take the moral responsibility for this over dose of rigging and honourably quit….because the PM and his party is suffering because of your faulty election strategy..!

If the speaker is ready to quit, everyone bearing the moral responsibility should also consider quitting….sooner than later..!

Break Up with Your Mentor If It’s Time to Move On

A great mentor can do wonders for your career, but if you’ve reached the point where you’re no longer learning from him or the chemistry has fizzled, don’t prolong the relationship. In order to grow, it’s necessary to move on. Maybe your mentor’s skill doesn’t align with where your career is heading, or you just want a mentor who has more time to offer. Start the separation conversation by sharing your appreciation for all of his time and effort. Detail everything you’ve learned from him and explain how those skills will continue to help you. Be honest and transparent about why your future plans necessitate a shift, and frame it considerately: “Given my change in focus, I wonder if getting together regularly is the best use of your time.” Leave the door open for possible future collaborations, and offer any assistance to return the kindness and help he’s given you.

Whither good governance or even the shadow of any governance in Pakistan..?

Eat more fast food…!

Food and health experts regret that the customs authorities lack facility to verify the quality of imported meat products. Moreover, Pakistani customs rely on supplier certification instead of independent certification based on physical inspection or random checking.

They pointed out that no country other than Pakistan allows food products import without first physically verifying the production facilities to ensure quality.

Mid-way solution of the Pakistani political crisis..!

Let there be a an electronic internet instant voting REFERENDUM asking the question “In your opinion the general elections of Pakistan – 2013 were rigged or not?”

Every Pakistani (including Pakistanis abroad) be allowed to vote by mentioning his/her CNIC or the NICOP or the Passport number, to avoid any duplication.

If the the majority of the answer received is found in an affirmative, the PM should resign and mid-term elections be held immediately.

However, if the majority of the votes say NO then PTI should drop its protest.

My dear Mohammad Zubair Sahab.

AoA.

When you talk about democracy please remember this fake-o-cracy is being run by about 30 family members.

For that matter Saddam Hussain and Hosni Mubarak used to get 100% votes.

Would you call that DEMOCRACY.

Please for God’s sake have a heart, you are one the most reasonable person on the other side of the fence..!
