Imran Khan the wounded tiger…!

Imran Khan perhaps you don’t know that Yesterday, the Pakistanis all over the world, wept for you….! But with each tear, their determination grew stronger and stronger, to make your dream come true, for building a Nia (new) Pakistan.

Perhaps you can’t imagine, how much people love you the world over, without the distinction of any religion, cast, creed or colour, which makes you the strongest binding force for the Pakistanis also.

May Allah grant you a speedy recovery; and you live for a thousand years of which every year be of a thousand days. Aameen.

Set an Email Quota and Stick to It

If you’ve tried all of the basic ways to manage your email, but are still feeling overwhelmed, try setting quotas. The idea is that the more messages you send, the more you get. Assume that every email you send will generate 4–10 responses, so you’re creating work for yourself with each message. Limit the number of threads you initiate each day. For incoming messages, estimate the number of emails each will generate and make that your daily quota. Use filters to sort incoming mail and keep all but the most crucial messages out of your inbox. Auto-file other messages in alternative folders. Keep adding rules until your daily inbox volume falls below the quota you’ve set.

Today’s Management Tip was adapted from the HBR Guide to Getting the Right Work Done.

My reply to Khurram Dastgir’s Twitter message:- First of all there should be a high level judicial inquiry to determine if there were any hidden hands in this “avoidable incident” to eliminate the future PM of Pakistan and who should have benefitted in this nefarious design?

Imran Khan is the most patriotic person I have met and he would die for his country.

An excerpt (page 173-4) from the book “Sir Vivian The Definitive Autobiography” by VIV RICHARDS with Bob Harris.

“The gentleman (Imran Khan) who was to become a renowned name in the world of cricket and a serious politician did not like what he saw that day. Fortunately, like many of these incidents, it was soon forgotten and since then I have come to know him. I respect his views and I went to a party at his house while on tour in Pakistan. Whenever we are around we try to get together, as we did during the recent World Cup in England. We definitely didn’t like one another at first, but gradually as we matured and got to know each other better we realised the world is a lot bigger than anything we have to offer and we started to respect each other. He was one of the fiercest competitor and, no matter how well you were batting, he would always have a delivery which could come and destroy you. I respect him and his cricketing views; and if the Pakistan side had a leader they looked up to and respected like they did him, they would be a much better and more consistent team than they are now. He always managed to squeeze the best out of his team. He (IMRAN KHAN) and Miandad are two of the most patriotic individuals I have met, and I can identify with that.
I am quite certain you wouldn’t be hearing stories about match fixing and other bad things if they were at the helm.
BOTH WOULD DIE FOR THEIR COUNTRY.”
