State Emblem of Pakistan – A Proposal for Change

Posted by Syed Nayyar Uddin on November 18, 2010 in State Emblem of Pakistan |

I would like to suggest  that the State Emblem of Pakistan, which was approved by the central government in 1954, needs to be slightly modified, in line with the changed realities.

The shield in the center of the Emblem, with four partitions, is still showing two crops (Jute & Tea, related to the then East Pakistan) along with Cotton & Wheat.

As such, it is proposed that the images of jute & tea may be replaced  with another two major crops of Pakistan i.e. Sugarcane & Rice , on the State Emblem of Pakistan.
